"Amazing salsa !! Great service and a fun environment !!! But they need better cooks with more than one style of cooking who know how NOT to overcook all the meat they offer. ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. Burnt cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... Maybe have a drink because the mood is good and fun ... she just need better cooks ..."

"In the area and decided to try something new. The energetic greeting upon arrival was a setup for an amazing dining experience. Never having tried Cuban Cuisine, we relied on Carlo our server’s suggestions. Seated by the fireplace offered a greatopportunity to experience all that The Cuban had to offer. From the views of the bar with TVs to the area that looked to be astage for live music. It allowed us to pan the entire restaurant and even see the birthday guests be serenaded by the Mariachiband (I guess they’re called Mariachi). Actually, every table is a good one. It was the fireplace for me????. The staff wasvery friendly, our server was knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly and prompt. The food though… everything was on point! The empanadas were filled with lots of delicious meat. This is the reason only reason my plate wasn’t cleaned????. Theatmosphere, energy, food and exceptional service all made this experience one to rave about. The Cuban offers pickup anddelivery service and brunch on Sat Sun 11am 3pm. The Cuban is next door to the bowling alley which might be the reasonparking out front can be a bit challenging but there’s ample parking in the back. Stop by The Cuban and prepare for anamazing experience!"

"The Chicken Quesadillas were outstanding, with onions and Poblano peppers grilled to perfection and the chicken seasoned just right, complete with a touch of char. And it was impressive that the food made it all the way to Maybrook from Goshen while still being hot! The portion sizes were incredibly generous for the price, which honestly surprised me. Finally, I wasn't let down by takeout in this area! My wife ordered the Enchiladas, and she absolutely loved them. They came with three enchiladas, rice, and beans served in a little fried tortilla bowl that maintained its crispiness. Our daughter had a kids' burrito and polished it off in no time! The guacamole was fantastic—fresh, slightly chunky, bursting with flavor, perfectly salted, and just a hint of heat. I have no doubt they could accommodate requests for more spice if desired. We also tried the Chicken Empanadas, which were equally amazing. Overall, a fantastic meal!"

"The restaurant was conveniently located for us and the menu looked good. When we arrived they had no way to check a reservation and didn't have a table ready for us. It took about 15 minutes for someone to even greet our table, so we could already decide on our dinner when a server spoke to us for the first time. It then took another 25 to 30 minutes for our dinner to arrive. We had a Caesar Salad, Slider and Lobster Mac and Cheese and I wouldn't order anything more. The beer was good and it seemed a fun place. There was live music which was really good, but the whole place was so loud that it was impossible to talk to."

"I love this place! This is my second time here and the staff and manager always go out of their way to give great service and make you feel special. Highly recommend for a date night, the food and drinks are delicious! The decor and atmosphere are also top notch and gorgeous! They also have a dj at night as well as great drink specials and happy hour. Needless to say this place deserves a visit, run don't walk here, you won't be disappointed, I promise!"

"Cabana El Rey checks every box, superb service, phenomenal food, and reasonable prices. The menu is largely Latin fusion, but Cabana accommodates every taste. My wife and I keep returning for the world’s best paella. We order the paella marinera (seafood) and we add chorizo (Spanish sausage) for a small upcharge. We generally open with plantain chips and guacamole and order Maduros (fried sweet plantains) on the side. Our fellow diners enjoyed a large bowl of black bean soup with chopped onions. They then shared a large assortment of seafood with yellow rice. In all of the years that we have been dining at Cabana El Rey, we have had many fine waiters. Longtime Cabana manager Mario selects waiters carefully, trains them meticulously, and closely supervises their service. His focus on superb service reflects his management. Rafael was our waiter this week. Attentive to our desires, he was efficient and came back to make sure everything was right. The assistant manager Christian used to be a Cabana waiter. He also stopped by to welcome us and share his enthusiasm and good humor. The check at the end of the outstanding meal was quite reasonable for such a terrific meal. We’ll be back soon."

"Me and my twins have been going here since they was 3. Always was a great place. The lovely manager was a man and he always gave my son hi 5s and fistbumps as well as a Pat on the head or back. They are now almost 16 and them memories has stuck with us and always will. We went back this evening. First time in months. I tell ya it was amazing. Amazing waitress,excellent fast and hot food. Not a disappointment at all. Prices are a little higher but what isn't higher these day. Not a 5 ? but truly a 10 ?."

"My fiance and I went out for a date night on a Saturday evening for dinner, drinks and dancing and we had a great time! The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection, very tender and full of flavor. The ropa vieja was mouthwatering and had all the right latin flavors you expect. The drinks were delicious, the limber de coco is a must to try. The DJ played great music and the dance floor was spacious and there was an all around great vibe from staff and patrons alike. The servers were very attentive and courteous. We will definitely be back to enjoy a fun night."

"I've been to this restaurant a few times, and the Jamaican empanadas are always a hit (though I'm not a fan of the mayo sauce they come with). The red sangria is consistently good. If you're a steak lover, I highly recommend the churrasco. However, I would advise against the garlic chicken breast; it was quite disappointing! The sauce is just a bland garlic mixture that resembles watery cornstarch with a bit of yellow food coloring. I was hoping for a rich wine reduction instead. As for the “grilled vegetables,” they’re actually boiled. It’s just a mix of overcooked broccoli and root vegetables like yautia, yuca, and auyama, along with some carrots."

"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My husband and I decided to try thia restaraunt tonight as date night after hearing wonderful things. We were not impressed though. It tool about 5 minutes for our server to ever come ask us what we wanted to drink. Once we placed that we also ordered queso. When we got the queso, it tasted like velveda warmed up and was not that warm either. Then it took forever for us to get our beverages that we ordered and our server to ever come back to take our order. We finally placed our order. Then we sat for 30 minutes with no food. The people next to us had ordered a few minutes before us, got their food, ate their food, paid their bill, and we still had nothing. We asked our server how much longer it would be and he said maybe 5 minutes. After 5 minutes we still had no food. We told our server we needed to get going to make a show we were going to see at 9:15, and we wanted to cancel our order, and pay for our appetizer and drinks. He took forever to get that too. Then he finally came out and magically our food was ready. We still had to get going to our show. So we declined the food and asked again foe the bill. Finally he came and gave us our bill. Now we are trying to race to make it to our show. This was not the date night experience my husband and I were looking for. I am very disappointed. And I am very disappointed in their alleged hommade queso that tastes exactly like velveda, I will never pay $8 for something I can make better at home, for cheaper."

"I visited for lunch today, and it was pleasantly quiet, so we didn't have to wait long for our meals. The food was incredibly authentic, exactly what I look for in a Spanish restaurant. The staff was very friendly, and our waiter, Fabian, was especially attentive, outgoing, and truly exceptional! We live in Deerfield but were in the area and are so glad we chose this restaurant. I highly recommend it and will definitely return."

"Overall, this was not as expected for a higher quality restaurant. It started off nice and it was a nice perk that we were addressed by name when seated. However, that is where it ended. The service was slow and of poor quality. We started with drinks which took a long time to arrive; longer than the time it took for our main entrée to arrive. We were given chips since we were told that our main entrée would take time to prepare which later we found out we were charged for. The main entrée that we ordered lacked flavor and imagination which is not like Puerto Rican food or Mexican food that it is attempting to imitate. One thing to mention is the view was beautiful but not worth the ticket. There are beautiful views all over the island."

"We went for a late dinner, and were very pleasantly surprised by how great the food and service was. We started with guacamole which was fresh and spicy. We had a selection of tacos and carne asada. The food tasted like the lady on the Cholula bottle could have made it, authentic and home made. The rice and beans paired wonderfully, and the steak was absolutely amazing. It was flavorfully seasoned and delicious. The sauce which came with the tacos had an amazing flavor profile unlike anything I have had before. Victor was a joy to talk to and really added to our enjoyment. We were so happy with our experience, we left a tip of over 25%. We are talking about going back in the next few days. It’s been a while since I left a restaurant so well contented."
