"We are a gluten free family do to health issues so we chose this restaurant based on their menu. Only to find out there that many items on the online menu listed as GF are NOT gluten free. Waiter was initially indignant when we complained our appetizer was obviously not GF. He was put out that he and chef had to work extra to figure out what they had that was safe for us. They did come through food was awesome. But all this could have been accomplished without the bad attitude. Also please update menu so it can be reliable to people with health issues"

"Definitely GO TO SUPPER! The staff really was top notch as they made sure we had the best experience possible. We were looking for late night dinner options in Manhattan and this one did not disappoint! The food was soooo delicious and the service was so kind and accommodating. They made sure we stayed warm. They moved us to a better table. And even though we were seated next to a large, loud engagement party, they made sure we were comfortable and even gave us breaks on drinks and dessert. They were also kind enough to let us pay with a credit card (this restaurant normally is cash only), so I really can't say enough nice things. We stayed until after 1 a.m., and they didn't even rush us out. At the end of the night, we were so happy with everything we took photos with the staff! Kudos to Supper for such a great restaurant experience! We will definitely be back!"

"Traveled 45 min to patronize this business for my son’s 26th birthday and spent $186 while there only to have our waitress, Adine, complain and talk about my grandkids’ behavior to another customer of hers. We overheard her tell another table to look at my grandkids and compared them to the couple’s “well-behaved” child (as she put it). Very inappropriate and disrespectful. When confronted by me, she admitted she did exactly what we thought we overheard her do. She had an attitude and rudeness to her from the time we sat down. Yes, my grandkids, ages 2 and 4, were playing around our table and enjoying our company, but never once did they interfere with her or her coworkers’ service to others there. It was their first day at Pre-K and a new babysitter so they were a bit more energetic tonight. When I asked for the manager, it took forever for “someone” who I can’t confirm to be a manger, to come to our table. Not sure of his name, but he didn’t give me the impression he was concerned or knew how to handle the situation as a manager would have. Needless to say we won’t be back and I won’t recommend this place to anyone. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"This was a 1st try here I was attracted by the menu. On arrival, we found a sign saying VALET FULL , i.e., there is nowhere to park. This forced us to drive around and around to find street parking. So we didn 't get off on the right foot there. We had a reservation, and they have a beautiful, warm dining room, but they sat us outside on an oversized table surrounded by plastic tarps ... hmm (a different experience obviously). The cocktails were great. They gnocchi was great, though it would have been better w/o the truffle. Bill 's filet mignon was fair. I had the ciopinno but didn 't eat much of it they had a very appealing looking giant prawn, but it was so overcooked it was inedibly chewy. The calimari was hit and miss some soft, some chewy. But the broth was watery and lacking in flavor. Since this was their signature dish, I wasn 't thrilled. ... maybe they gave the good ciopinno to the people who got to park there and sit in the dining room."

Most restaurants we've visited while traveling have shown more humility and courtesy, but this one did not. "We have always enjoyed a wonderful experience with friendly, attentive service and amazing food at La Posta. This time the food was delicious as usual, but the service was abysmal. We had made a 9pm reservation and were looking forward to a four course meal. The waiter arrived without a greeting and began to coldly read the specials. He never asked what we would like to drink, despite an extensive wine menu. He then left us to read over the menu. He returned and we ordered an Antipasto. We hadn’t decided on the rest of the meal yet. He delivered the Antipasto and asked what else we wanted. We had decided on the Primo course, but not the rest of the meal. He asked if he could take our full order since the kitchen would be closing soon and they don’t usually serve that late! Why is a 9pm reservation offered, if there is not enough time for a four course meal? We quickly decided on a Secondo course and a Contorno. He asked if everything could be served at once. We answered NO. We felt very rushed, and we didn’t have time to enjoy a full meal. After finishing the Primo, we sat 10 minutes with dirty plates while the waiter told his life story to customers two tables away. The bus boy finally showed up and cleared the table. We asked if we could get fresh plates and utensils. The table still had not been cleaned. We sat another 10 minutes waiting for our Secondo and Contorno while the waiter finished with his story. The Secondo and Contorno were finally served and were delicious. When finished, the bus boy cleared the table but did not clean it. There were now three courses of droppings on the table. The bus boy returned with dessert menus and placed them on the dirty table. The waiter placed desert spoons on the dirty table and asked what we wanted for dessert. There was literally a bean two inches from my spoon. Receiving this kind of poor service ruined the whole dining experience, despite the outstanding food. I wonder if I will ever return."

"Excellent birthday dinner. Visited with a reservation at 7pm on 9/9/23. Waiter did not introduce himself (it was a very busy night), but I want to thank him for his excellent service!!! Tony (I assume) seated us and wished us a good evening when we left. Kind, attentive, and respectful of not being overbearing, the service was perfect. The Chicken Rittoli with pesto was delicious! Perfectly cooked chicken and housemate pesto was so fresh. My house salad with house Italian dressing, and my spouse's wedding soup, we're both great starters to the mean. Spouse order a Chicken Parmasean, which instantly became his top ever Chicken Parm dish he's ordered. Waiter went out of his way to find us a half bottle of an Italian Chianti for the evening, which was well priced and matched our meals well. Asked for a lemoncello dessert shot, which was a great digestivo for the end of the meal. 5 star experience. We were bummed to find out the patio did not have dinner service on a beautiful September Saturday night, but Tony made sure we were seated at an intimate table right next to the patio doors so we could enjoy the ambiance. Perfect!"

"Ate here with my friend who has celiac disease because of the gluten free section of the menu and the reviews saying the GF pasta is good. Unfortunately, she must have been served pasta with gluten because she was sick all night after the meal. When I called the restaurant to discuss it, the person I spoke to asked why we didn't tell them it was not GF when it arrived and hung up on me when I told him we didn't know just by looking at it. I will be calling tomorrow to speak to the manager and would recommend caution for anyone with allergies or health-related dietary restrictions."

"We were received by Andrew upon arrival who was incredibly friendly and offered great recommendations for our appetizers. Our server, though friendly enough, was less than stellar. We ordered the nell’orto cocktail which was supposed to be gin, cucumber, lime, and basil. We received a yellow cocktail that tasted nothing like what was advertised as the nell’orto. When we asked our server about it she seemed perplexed and thought we’d ordered something different, asked a different server and then confirmed it was the nell’orto. We sent the drinks back and ordered a bottle of wine instead, which arrived long after our appetizers and just before we received our entree. All of the food was excellent, however we were not asked once if we were enjoying. Would return for the amazing cuisine, and hope for better service in the future."

"Made the reservation here because we were going to a show at the Patchogue Theater and wanted something within walking distance. Turned out to be a good choice. Good food (Italian) freshly made.
