"Coffee with Pips visited Emperor's Kitchen on April 16th, 2024. The restaurant is situated on the second floor of a decent retail space, with large windows overlooking a busy parking lot surrounded by upscale businesses like Kopp's Frozen Custard. We were promptly seated at a clean table with plenty of space to dine comfortably. The decor was simple yet not overwhelming. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, giving us time to look over the menu which had a good selection of dishes. I ordered the Sesame Chicken, a popular Chinese dish in the US and Canada, and my companion enjoyed the Beef Chop Suey. The Sesame Chicken was delicious, with tender chicken in a sweet sauce and sesame seeds. The portions were generous, enough for two meals. However, the Diet Coke we ordered tasted like seltzer and was disappointing at $4.50 per glass. We mentioned this to the staff but didn't receive much of a response, which led to the restaurant receiving a 4.5 star rating instead of 5. Despite this, the meals were worth it and we would return to Emperor's Kitchen, recommending it for its food but suggesting sticking to water instead of ordering sodas.
