"Let me begin by saying that I love the food. I've been going to the RGV sites for years before I go to SA. My problem is with service and special management. Starting with a previous visit to pick up a phone order and the manager who talked with me quite inappropriately because I waited in the wrong place and she had important people coming for a meeting at a table nearby. Nice, a problem, once, right? Well, in the last few weeks our orders have not made any articles or incorrect. Last to Mother's Day: ordered online, went on pickup in person, just to find out when I was home that one of the items was wrong. I called the restaurant and told them what happened. The employee seemed like she wanted to help me, then put me in the grip for a moment. She just came back on the phone to tell me that the manager was very busy and couldn't talk right now. She took my number and said the manager would call in the afternoon. Days later and still no call as expected. At this point you simply take my money and don't really worry about the result. Again, food is good, but they seem very bad administration at this point. Maybe it's time to find a better option."

"We visited Dono Sushi today and encountered the worst service we've ever experienced at a restaurant—this is not an exaggeration. Our server was incredibly rude and disrespectful, prompting us to leave before our meals even arrived. We've been patrons of this restaurant for over 20 years, and following this experience, we will not be returning. The owners should recognize that employees like this can severely harm your business. We have always cherished our visits here since our daughters were young, so it’s truly disappointing and sad to see things end this way."

"There was only one party here when we arrived at 6PM on a Sunday and they had just finished so we had the place all to ourselves. I love the design-Japanese modern. There is metered street parking available, but you don't have to pay on Sundays.We looked at the menu via the QR code and were not prompted to create a profile. You can order online, but our waiter actually took our order which we appreciated. He was very nice and welcoming from the moment we stepped foot inside. I started off with the Ahi Tuna Poke which came with wonton chips. The chips were slightly too oily, and there weren't enough. I finished the chips with about 3 spoonfuls of poke left. The texture of the poke pairs so well with the chips though and the sauce is very flavorful. (A bit too salty once you get to the bottom)The dragon roll had great quality. I didn't need to dip it into shoyu as the sauce was enough. The best part of this was the ginger. I was amazed at how fresh and crunchy it was. No wonder it's offered as its own side dish on the menu!The shoyu ramen comes with thinner noodles than traditional ramen, but they were perfectly cooked. This was my favorite dish."

"Incredibly affordable and high-quality sushi right in the heart of downtown! We waited a few minutes for a table outside, but as soon as we were seated, we were welcomed with hot tea. This restaurant is a must-visit; the selection of nigiri and sashimi was outstanding and very reasonably priced. They also offer some fantastic signature rolls alongside a wide variety of classic rolls. There was a noticeable amount of takeout business, so it's clear that this place is a favorite among locals."

"We visited on a Friday night and were promptly seated in the dining room. The place was clean, and we could watch the sushi being prepared fresh at the bar. We ordered the spicy tuna roll, the water lily roll, and the fried pork gyoza, and everything was delicious and expertly made. The water lily roll came with a side of seaweed salad, which turned out to be one of the highlights of the evening, along with the crunchy tuna roll. Several tables around us were enjoying their own bottles of wine, as it's a BYOB establishment. They provided everyone with chilled wine buckets and glasses, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a fantastic sushi experience in Stone Harbor, and we would definitely return."
