"an angry employee almost ruined our dinner. they now have a huge tent on the parking lot and it started to crash when we arrived. we were placed at the rande of the tent and the waterfall that came from the tent hit the table and us. We pulled the table in a foot and almost immediately we were accelerated by a hostess called lisa verbal. she was hectic and talked very quickly that we had to withdraw our table in the rain and if we didn't like it, we could go. "I was hoping this would be my new favorite restaurant. I like the location and views and the menu selections looked fantastic. However, the pancetta wrapped shrimp were badly overcooked and rubbery. The clams casino were non traditional. The clams were removed and chopped and added to a crab imperial then put in the shell. I like the clams left whole in my clams casino. The flavor was good, but not as good as traditional clams casino. I wanted clams casino not crab imperial baked in a clam shell. We had the Caesar salad which was good. We had a beet, spinach and goat cheese salad which was just ok. We ordered Lobster fettuccini Alfredo with sun-dried tomatoes. It arrived with shrimp and crab and 1-2 tiny pieces of lobster. Less than a teaspoon of lobster. It was a seafood fettuccini, not a lobster fettuccini. The short ribs were just mediocre. The desserts of a 7 layer chocolate cake and pumpkin creme breeze were good. If the dishes came to the table as described in the menu, and if high quality ingredients were used and cooked properly this place could be booked solid every night."

"This place was suggested to me by a good friend who lives close to The Lobster House. I was looking very forward to having dinner here. After an hour and twenty minute wait we got seated. I know going in how pricey this place is but I wasn't goingto let that stop me. I ordered the cold seafood platter. It came with three large shrimp (which were good), five crab claws,three mussels, and 1/2 of a one pound lobster with shrimp salad on top of the lobster. It was good but not worth what itcost. For my meal I ordered the broiled fisherman's wharf platter which was one shrimp with a little crab imperial stuffed ontop, three small scallops, one clam casino, a piece of flounder and 1/2 of a lobster (pretty sure it was no more than a onepound lobster) again with a little crab imperial on top. I was disappointed because the lobster was dried out and the amount ofcrab imperial was less than a mouthful. The service wasn't any better. I wish I could remember her name but it began with J . She was missing more than my crab imperial. I have no problem spending a lot of money on good food. I totally understandCape May but to me this place is a little over rated. For amount of time you wait to get seated and how you are over chargedjust because of the town you are eating in is not worth it to me."

"My friends and I chose fins as we had been there before. The restaurant was full but not packed. By the time we finished our meal there were a few open tables with no one waiting. The waiter came over and asked us to leave as they needed the table. As we were leaving, I stopped to talk to the hostess about needing the table. She said they will be needing it but not right then. She apologized and said she would talk to the waiter. As there are plenty of restaurants in Cape May that serve the same food, my friends and I will not return. So there is no second guessing, we tipped him 20%, he was just rude."

"This used to be my favorite place, but they just redid the menu- prices have doubled and quality has gone down markedly. Our previous favorite appetizer- The goat cheese and honey crostini, was now rendered inedible because the wonderful crostini was replaced by stale bread so hard it hurt to chew. The Mushroom Lasagna was $38 and was dried out and flat. It?s a shame because this place was our favorite go-to restaurant until now. I hope they find a way back to their former glory."
