"It's easy to understand why Yates has the highest rating in the metro area. With numerous activities and delicious food options, it’s an ideal spot for a memorable day with friends or family. The cider and donuts are fantastic, and on weekends, they also serve BBQ ribs and sandwiches with a choice of sweet or spicy sauces, along with hot dogs and roasted corn (you can add mayonnaise for a Mexican-style twist). In addition to the donuts, they have warm pastries and a wide variety of fudge. If you encounter a long line of traffic upon arrival, don’t worry; they offer quick service, plenty of seating, and several parking lots by the mill to accommodate everyone. We visited on a busy Sunday afternoon, and we barely waited for our food or to find a table. Additionally, they have a small farm, pony rides, and access to the Yates trail, which runs alongside the Clinton River and connects to Bloomer Park to the north. Yates is definitely not your typical cider mill (pun intended) and is an excellent choice for a fantastic summer-to-fall experience. We can’t wait for our next visit!"
