"This restaurant has been a longstanding favorite of ours. While we usually enjoy their Grand Plateau seafood tower as an appetizer, this time we chose different starters to accommodate a friend who doesn't eat seafood. We tried the Nueske's Cherrywood Smoked Bacon with Korean BBQ, which was delicious, as well as their lump crab. Instead of our usual wedge lettuce salad with blue cheese and bacon, we opted for the Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad with Crushed Pistachios and Citrus Vinaigrette, which we found enjoyable. For our main course, we ordered the filet and the Dry Aged NY/KC Strip Au Poivre with Courvoisier Cream. Our side dishes included creamed spinach and Soy Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon. Our friend had the Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, Wild Mushrooms, and Fig Essence, which she enjoyed. The Mac and cheese side dish received high praise from another friend, although his steak was slightly undercooked for his taste, the staff quickly rectified the issue. The service at this restaurant has always been excellent during our visits. We decided to skip dessert this time, as we had a comedy show to attend nearby. However, their Classic Creme Brûlée and Warm Double Chocolate Cake with Port Wine Infused Cherries and Ice Cream are our usual go-to choices. Unfortunately, photos do not do the food justice as we were eager to dig in and enjoy our meal."

"Today's DELIGHTFUL experience at Capital Grille exceeded all expectations from this picky diner and her partner. We came to celebrate the 27th anniversary of the day we met. We showed up promptly at 11:30 for a Friday lunch with the generous pour of seven wines each. Do not skip out on this fantastic summer offering only available through Labor Day each year. It did not disappoint at all!!! I chose to have a bowl of the soup of the day (lobster bisque with loads of lobster meat and topped with sherry) to start. I followed it with the lunch plate that comes with soup or salad option for the field greens salad which was sublimely fresh and well dressed. My plate was a tender and well seasoned large chicken breast over a heaping scoop of risotto with mushroom and asparagus. My husband opted for the 45 day aged NY strip cooked medium and truffle fries. It was actually MEDIUM!! I can't tell you how many places under cook or over cook steak. It was tender and flavorful. He had a choice of three sides and opted for the truffle fries where you could actually taste truffle!! Since we were celebrating our anniversary, they surprised us with this beautiful desert plate with a creme brulee cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake with fresh whipped cream and perfectly ripe berries. The service was PERFECTION! The ambience was exactly what we look for in a good restaurant... No TV, decent space between tables, quiet music in the background so you can still hear each other at the table without having to compete with others or the music to be heard by someone sitting right across from you. We will be back again and again with food and service like this! Go, eat, drink, and leave with a happy and full belly!"

"I was in the neighborhood and hungry, on my way to Moxies per my usual in this area. I decided to do something different so I walked a block down to TCG. Valet attendant was very nice and pleasant. Hostess was also nice but she seemed like she was unfamiliar with the establishment. (This catches my attention. I am sizing up the bar area to decide where I want to sit. I very much consider the low bar booths but as I’m standing to try and catch a busboy, Leah greets me and offers me to sit at the bar pointing to an open placement. I mention that I didn’t want to be the only person eating up top. It was just after lunch but not quite dinner time. (What some would call Happy Hour but they do not participate in HH. . So a nice crowd. Not too busy but not empty by a long shot. Her greeting was very warm and inviting. I immediately felt “at home”. Then Jon enters the picture and he too is super warm and friendly. I see the two of them playing off of each other and working well together. Like a well oiled machine. THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL SERVICE. The entire ambiance was nice. The manager, Ari, even came out a few times to laugh with guests and the bar staff. Not sure how we as a society forgot that when people love their work environment, they in turn take care of customers, who then bring you back business. It is good to see it still existing today in 2023. As I’m writing this, I am realizing — it felt like the tv show Cheers. There were a few questions I had regarding the menu and while I was disappointed in the answers I received. Boy am I glad I stuck it out!! The food was MAGNIFICENT and so were the drinks. I completely only intended to allow myself 1 drink to relax from a tense work week. The drink was so exquisite I indulged in a second. And I am not a drinker by any means. I will for sure return and would refer it to friends/family."
