"Exceptional food in an authentic, non-demanding environment. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, which added to the great experience. For bread lovers, there are 3 different breads, all of which are made there and are all wonderful. I stop on the way out of town to pick up bread and take it home to friends. My salad was fabulous and the vodka chicken pasta (a specialty) was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. The specials change with the seasons. Desserts are all made there and everyone looked great. We share the ice cream on Sunday with homemade caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache. It was wonderful. You can share it with 4 people as it is very large. We will definitely have dinner here again when we return to Mayo and Golf."

"It’s been a long time since I have gone to Thunder Buttons in Old Colorado City. It hasn’t been for any reason, we just haven’t made it there. I am so glad this is where we chose to go tonight. The food was beautiful, delicious and exactly what each of us wanted. We had wings for an appetizer (no pic-eaten before I thought about it), Surf and Turf sub extra veg for mash, Ultimate Mac-n-Cheese, and the O’Byrne Burger (all pictured but dim lights did not do justice to the true experience). It was so good. Service was solid, not hurried, gave time to enjoy our meals. I wish I could remember our servers name because she rocked. Definitely a place to get back to more frequently."

"It's difficult to identify the type of broth served here. It definitely doesn't resemble or taste like chicken—in fact, it lacks flavor entirely. I noticed other reviews mentioned it was too salty, but it seems that has been adjusted, as it could definitely use some seasoning. They really should offer salt on the side. This was the blandest broth I've ever experienced, which is particularly disappointing for me since I'm currently on a liquid diet. Additionally, the bowl was filled to the brim, leaving no room for pressure to escape, so be cautious to avoid being burned."
