"1st time visiting Philly and my sister decided we would go here (her husband is from Philly). My friend and I ordered the Amish half chicken, wife ordered the duroc pork chop, sister got branzino, brother in law got salmon, friend got duck leg….. Both half chickens were under cooked and flavorless. Wife’s pork chop was well seasoned. My fingerling potatoes were good, but my friend who ordered the same meal, hers were burnt. My sister said her branzino was soggy and served upside down. Other friend said the duck was good. My brother in law, couldn’t tell me how his salmon was because they forgot about his order and they didn’t bring it out until everyone else was done eating. My young niece and nephew food was good (because they got grilled cheese and a burger). The servers are not dressed causally which is cool, but it was confusing because we couldn’t tell the difference from our main server, and the bus person. There were 3 different people taking care of us, after the person who introduced himself as our main server. We felt very rushed, and underserved. It was difficult getting a pitcher of ice water refilled for our table. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Ambience is great for any occasion. I probably would give this spot another shot. I do like the menu options, and I do feel everyone deserves a second chance. But this visit didn’t do it for me."

"This restaurant offers simply incredible farm-to-table cuisine featuring seasonal vegetables and meats sourced from local farms. I enjoyed a delicious ribeye paired with a local beer from New Jersey. I visited with a group of eight, and we sampled a variety of appetizers, including flatbreads, artisan cheeses, and a delightful creamy vegetable soup. Some members of our party ordered pork and scallops, while others tried the excellent vegetarian main courses. The desserts were fantastic, with an impressive selection of options that didn't include chocolate. Our server, Diego, provided wonderful and attentive service and was with us last year as well. He definitely deserves a raise and a promotion to head of staff!"

"What a fantastic place! I recently moved to the beach and was on the hunt for a healthy restaurant that won’t empty my wallet. I’ve finally found it! The prices are fantastic, the atmosphere is laid-back, and the portions are generous and fresh. The juices are also incredible. My new favorite is the Orange Zing (made with orange, carrot, and ginger). This place is definitely a must-visit if you’re in South Beach and is perfect for locals. I absolutely loved it!"

"I used to really love going to the buffet here. It was really good. They recently moved and I think they changed kitchen staff. The buffet now is super meat heavy. Almost all the vegetarian dishes had cheese in them. We also ordered a la cart a few months ago. The taste and the quality of the food seems to have diminished. In an area with lots of Indian restaurants, vegetarians and vegans can try something much better. Taj Grill, Star of India and Jewel of India are a few."

"Wonderful Experience from the moment we walked in the door. The staff is OUTSTANDING, even the managers made sure our experience was a great one. We had the pleasure to sit in Chris section on a busy Friday evening. The attention to detail was very impressive. Chris recommended a great bourbon for me to have in my old fashion. Josh was assisting Chris all evening to ensure we had everything we needed. My husband had a great IPA to start and Chris helped him pick out a great Pinot Noir for dinner. The wine, beer and bourbon selection is top notch. We loved so many things on the menu we ordered several starters. My favorite was the bone marrow that comes with a great toast and herbs, it was fantastic! My husband had the Oysters which were a top quality from the northeast, he said the horseradish was the best he had ever had. He even order a little extra for his steak. I had a filet cooked Pittsburg Rare, which is a very hard way to cook it but the Chef did it perfectly! The peppercorn and blue cheese sauces were great additions to our steaks. The Brussels spouts, mushroom were our additional sides that just paired amazing with the steaks. The steaks come with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes. Our date night was such a precious one and the environment in the restaurant made it a romantic one. This place was full of groups as well that looked to be having a great time. To add the cherry on top of the evening Chris recommended a Butter Cake dessert. We were both so full from our dinner but my sweet tooth decided to try it. Wow, it was outstanding! I'm a southern lady who loves her desserts. This cake was light but had a wonderful flavor to it. It had a glaze, strawberries and strawberry ice cream. I am not able to have a lot of dairy and the ice cream was very light as well. By far the best dessert I have had in a long while. My husband and I drove into Colorado Springs for a date night after a very long stressful work week. The staff, especially Chris and Josh made our evening exactly what we both needed. This will be an evening we both will cherish and we are so grateful for the wonderful experience. Thank you all at Cowboy Star!! This place is a pure Gem!"

"if you charge a FEE for people to use credit cards then dont take it OR tell the customer when they sit down the policy. as a business owner myself i find this practice VERY distasteful on the part of the woman employee i see her coming out of the kitchen so i say excuse me she sees me looks right at me. Goes back into the kitchen comes out with a newspaper so she can stand by the counter and read. so i say excuse me ?! finally comes over doesnt apologize busboyhelper man was not a waiter, did bus the tables but also sat customers down when they arrived so he had many jobs. he actually came up to my table to ask me if he could take away my oil and vinegar while am having my meal! I was once a waitress and let me tell you that is something you do not the quality of the food and the price do not match up at all. I tried the steak that was recommended to me by my waiter. I asked waiter to recommended what is this place known for? whats good ? what popular? not something that would make me come this place slow had people walking in but after exploring the neighborhood this place does not seem to have a lot or any competition. perhaps business opportunity for others"

I mean it’s not hard she just wanted to be confrontational. She has done this many times before about stupid things . This is why my parents and friends stopped going there . She feels like she is above everyone. Sad . Very sad . She needs a reality check . Well i know a lot of people and will be tellingt everyone to not go there because of principles."

"We came for my boyfrienda birthday. It was extremely disapppointing. The food was awful and over priced. There was also limited selection. The caesar salad was terrible and full of the ier yellow lettuce that made it bitter. I hadnt been to the restaurant for years and it has significantly gone down hill. I was speaking to an acquaintance and he had the same opinion.Service was ok but slow. Actually the busboy forget to give one of us water and when we asked for it, he argued with us and said he did give it.Truly was a waste of moey but more importantly ruined the birthday celebration."

"Our server, Ashley, was attentive and amazing at dinner. The food was excellent, with all the items we ordered meeting our expectations. However, I was disappointed with Marissa, who took our orders for breakfast and lunch on different days. We typically leave a tip of 20-30% depending on the level of service, but we only tip on the subtotal before taxes. I was surprised when Marissa changed our total to a higher amount without clarifying with us. Despite providing basic service, I still left a 20% tip for her. Our meals, including the Steak and Truffles Pizza, Asian Salad, Seabass, Banana Colada, and Strawberry Smash cocktails were all delicious. The fish tacos were not our favorite, but the batter was light and crispy, making them enjoyable. We also tried the Cheesburger fries for brunch and enjoyed the Banana Cheesecake to celebrate our anniversary."

"What a disappointment! I passed by the place many times and was tempted by the signage. The tomato soup of the day was acidic beyond measure. The croque monsieur was tasteless, as was the apricot tart. The sourdough bread was ok. The service was awful; after I was done, the waitress went by at least 14 times without as much as looking in my direction. I had to get up and chase her down. There is no atmosphere or vibe discernable beyond cafeteria utilitarian. Will resist the temptation in the future."

"I had a very disappointing experience at the beer garden. The woman who served us seemed more focused on flirting with a man at the bar than on taking our order correctly. We asked for no cheese on our hamburgers, but she added cheese to one of them. Instead of raw onions, she put grilled onions on both burgers, and the bread was stale. To make matters worse, she didn’t even let us know when our order was ready. I would rate this as a minus 10 experience. Note to self: avoid this place in New York!"

"We were hopefully optimistic, as our small plates were pretty good. Though how do you mess up raw oysters and deviled eggs. Though, when our waiter brought us the spicy eggs, and they only tasted mildly mustard y, I should have been forewarned. My husband 's risotto was tasteless. It did not taste at all like a risotto, it tasted like rice cooked with onions and water. In fact, the most predominate flavor was the onion. My pork chop with porcini dumplings flavorless, again. And in addition, the dumplings were actually savory bread puddings, and were burnt on the bottom. Suffice it to say, we were less than pleased."

"I found this restaurant today and a friend of mine and I decided to stop. Everyone there was very nice and quick to respond. We didn't have to wait long for our food, only a few minutes. They brought out chips and salsa since we ate in. Service: Great. attentive waitress. Refilled salsa immediately. Stopped and asked us if we needed anything multiple times. Very friendly. Food: Much better than expected especially the portions. My friend liked the beef taco more than the tinga. Beef is very flavorful he said. But both were fresh. My ribeye torta was delicious, with the ribeye being very large. The bread was very fresh. Only thing I would say is ribeye had a lot of chewy fat pieces so to get rid of that before hand. But honestly flavor was great. my pork+ chorizo taco was spicy definitely tasted the chorizo in it. But very fresh as well. Price: Cheap. Parking: Street residential, might be hard to find parking. We had to park 3 blocks and walk. Would I come back? Yes."

"Out of our five day restaurant experience in NYC this one was by far most memorable. The menu's words don't do the food justice as it's complex flavors and fragrances unfold in your palate. As a family of four we had two sandwiches, pancakes and one soup, as well one desert, coffee and hot chocolate. All items were exceptional in their delivery. The coffee was bold, full bodied but not burned like a French roast, the hot cocoa deserves a visit all on its own, the food was simply great in all aspects, flavor, the satiety it provided, and the feeling of quality. The staff was responsive, friendly, and fun."

"The restaurant offers an impressive variety of delicious food! We tried their savory crepes—chicken with mushrooms and turkey with brie and tomato—and both were absolutely delicious. Initially, I thought I might take half of my portion home because it was so large, but we ended up finishing it all since it was just that good. The side salad was perfectly dressed and generous in size as well. My boyfriend ordered a latte, which was excellent even without any added sugar. For dessert, we had the mango mousse, which had a delightful flavor—not overly sweet, but refreshingly light. It was denser than I anticipated, but still quite tasty. I would definitely recommend this place for brunch and will return the next time we’re in the area."
