"This is our go-to sushi place in the area. We love Japanese food and have tried a lot of the other Japanese restaurants around but we keep coming back here. Huge variety of sushi rolls, unique appetizers, and traditional hot and cold Japanese dishes. Our favorites are the grilled squid (sauce on the side , their salmon teriyaki bento box (an excellent deal! and the house special Japanese fried rice (chock full of beef, chicken and really fresh jumbo shrimp . Favorite sushi is the Oakland Roll but all the other rolls are delicious too. A keeper for sure!"

"Right from the start, the extensive menu should have raised a red flag. They offer Chinese, Thai, and a variety of traditional Japanese dishes, all alongside a full sushi menu. That's quite a lot to cover! I opted to sample a bit from each cuisine. Here’s a breakdown of what we received: 1. **Shrimp Tempura**: The shrimp was over-fried and greasy, while the accompanying zucchini was rock hard—almost like a hockey puck. I could tap it on the table and hear it bounce. 2. **Teriyaki Chicken Baked Rice**: This dish had no trace of teriyaki flavor. Teriyaki is typically sweet, but this tasted completely bland, with only a hint of garlic sauce. The chicken was dry and unappetizing—very disappointing. 3. **Tom Kha Soup**: Right away, I was concerned by its stark white color. It seemed to be nothing but coconut milk, overwhelmed by the spice from the little red Thai peppers. I’d rate the spice level a 9/10—completely inedible. 4. **Potstickers**: These were primarily sticky dough with very little filling. 5. **Szechuan Wontons**: These were drenched in Szechuan peppercorns, to the point where one bite left my mouth feeling numb. They were also incredibly dry, which was quite off-putting. 6. **Salmon Nigiri**: We ordered a couple of pieces for my daughter, but they looked nearly gray. After the experience with the other dishes, I chose not to take the risk of trying it. After receiving our order, we called the restaurant to express our concerns. The person who answered mentioned that the manager wasn't available and claimed that it was all a matter of taste, adding that he had never received any complaints about these dishes. I’m sharing some photos of what we received, and I can confidently say that we will not be returning to Little Wok again."

"The best Thai food i ever enjoyed. We discovered Thai Ginger by chance on a one night stopover in Seattle. The restaurant is nicely decorated but not overly fancy. I like the fact fact that you can see the chef’s at work as the kitchen and dining area is all the one. The food was ‘historic’. Our group had the chicken with orange sauce, New York steak with sticky rice and ginger scallops. At first the good sized portions looked like we wouldn’t be able to finish them but the excellent taste combined with the super ingredients resulted in every morsel being eaten. Friendly, fast service along with the food presented made this an experience I just had to report on Tripadvisor."

"I have eaten at the sea many many times and it is one of my favorite restaurants. Last night was an exception it seemed all the food was very bland especially my chicken teriyaki .  the sauce was watery with a very little taste. It was an abundance of chicken on a bed of vegetables with some of the sauce poured over. If you like plain breast of chicken, you would have been satisfied, however expecting a deep teriyaki flavoring, I was most disappointed. I will of course return but not for teriyaki chicken. By the way, the lychee Martini saved the night."

"What a delightful experience we had! Fast friendly, efficient and thorough service. There is plenty of space inside and also for parking, you can bring your big rig or tractor they will fit in the parking lot! There are plenty of choices and everything is delicious, and many are nutritious also. We had the salmon steak plate, I took a bite and there was fireworks in my mouth! We also ordered the seafood soup, pork plate and green curry.. al were Bomb dot com. If you like Thai, this is a must when your hungry and in torrance!.... I just finished and still writing this review , but I'm going to step out and. Omelet back to order a Thai tea to relive the experience immediately!.. lol"

"This cozy little spot is decorated nicely, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The server was friendly and consistently checked in on our drinks and needs throughout the meal. As for the food, it was decent but not particularly memorable. The shrimp shumai was just okay; I expected a stronger shrimp flavor. However, the Cozy Shrimp was absolutely delicious! I also tried the peppered spare ribs, but they were a bit chewy and dry, lacking the peppery taste I anticipated. There was a small amount of sauce that was fantastic, but I really wished there had been more of it. The mango fried rice was good, though it was clear that canned pineapple was used. I’d like to come back and try more of their popular dishes, like Pad Thai and Basil Chicken, to see if I can find some truly tasty options."

"Local Asian food that used to be my favorite place for take out. I don’t know what happened but last 3 times the food did not taste good. Maybe it’s a new chef but the food is not prepared well. Even the fried rice tastes different and the salad dressing is watered down. So disappointing."

"We stopped in for lunch on our drive to tour the coast with the parent in the back seat. This place as great because it offered something for everyone. "This is a spacious restaurant with ample dining areas and beautiful décor that creates a warm ambiance. The staff is polite and patient, adding to the positive experience. The menu offers an extensive variety of authentic dishes, and even when the restaurant is busy, the service remains relatively quick. A nice surprise with each order is the complimentary egg rolls, though unfortunately, they've been dry and inedible on all three visits—still, the kind gesture is appreciated. While I want to explore more of the menu, I find myself consistently drawn to the Pineapple Fried Chicken meal, which includes pineapples, chicken, shrimp, cashew nuts, eggs, onions, peas, and carrots. I’d like to express my gratitude for the fresh ingredients and generous portion sizes—this hearty entrée can easily serve four! To enhance the experience for diners and avoid any ‘meal chaos’ in the family, I would recommend including at least one large, juicy shrimp for each serving. Adding two more shrimp to make a total of four per dish would be wonderful! Thai Cuisine has quickly become a weekly favorite for my family. On our next visit, we’re looking forward to dining inside to fully immerse ourselves in the Thai experience. A note on location: you can find Thai Cuisine in the Nellis Bonanza Shopping Center, in the corner at the far end of the plaza, with plenty of parking available and easy access."

"This used to be our favorite spot to visit whenever we were in town. Both of us grew up in La Verne and have been dining here for 30 years. "Tried this place for the first time, and it was terrible, I should have known better when I placed the order and I asked how long, the lady said (TEN MINUTES!!! that was a red flag, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I order chicken and broccoli, chicken wings and shrimp lo mein. Upon picking up the food, noticed that the Chicken Wings were (Discolored You know, like old (Chicken not (FRESH , no spice, just dry. The chicken and broccoli was unflavored, no delicious brown gravy, lots of oil in the bottom and the rice, was hard and (NOT FRESH . The LO MEIN, ah man, I'm done, this is what (10 Minutes Gets You . This is my opinion, if you like non-fresh, dry and unflavored food, then this place is for you. I love fresh flavored and savory dishes, and this place isn't for me! Vegetarian options: N/A"

"Pat was an amazing server and the food was outrageously delicious and Beautiful on the plate and in the bowl! Their 100% willingness to keep our dishes completely vegan was awesome! "Best Thai Sushi has always been a great experience overall. They are small, I highly recommend you call in for a reservation if you can, as they tend to fill up quick in the evenings but if you're willing to wait they'll make space in time. The food is great here and the price is amazing. I've been here a few times and I've enjoyed everything I've had. Sushi is fresh, food is cooked well, and it's all extremely tasty. "Eaten here a couple times now and found the food both very tasty and also quite competitively priced for kosher food. The baguettes used for their sandwiches, seem to be baked in house and the portions were quite substantial as well as filling. There was a choice of seating but the restaurant was certainly not empty and the staff behind the counter were both knowledgeable of the menu options and friendly. There were a few delivery bikes outside, so they must also do some deliveries but I don't know the range? All in all it's certainly quite a good place, I'll certainly come again when I'm in the neighborhood."

"I ordered for delivery late night and food came fast. I ordered Singapore mei fun, and beef and scallops. The noodle was very good and I was able to substitute the pork for beef so that was great. Thank you for that. Although I was annoyed that the garnish/condiments I asked for were spilled when they arrived but at least it was in small packets so it didn’t spill all over.As for the beef and scallops... : maybe it was my fault, I usually have a reservation about where I order from to satisfy my craving for seafood, and usually do so from restaurants that actually specialize in seafood. That way I don’t have to blame a restaurant for getting it wrong if that was not their specialty to begin with. In this case however, I figured since I saw good stars for sushi and was in the mood for some scallops, figured I’ll try it. That was a bad idea. The scallops were so rubbery and the beef was so slimy that I just could not take another bite. The beef especially was awful. I mean I can understand rubbery from being overcooked probably from just being reheated but the beef just indicated that maybe the dish was going bad. Additionally, I couldn’t even appreciate the good portion of the dish because it inappropriately came with a small side of rice to accompanying it."

"Things escalated when they followed me outside in a threatening manner, trying to “retrieve” the order. One man even started to grab my backpack and got in my face, as if to provoke a fight. A woman blocked my bike with her legs, making it impossible for me to leave this distressing situation. I ended up calling the police, who intervened, and they returned the food, but I lost out on my trip. By the time the delivery was canceled, the customer’s food was likely cold. The staff were unprofessional, resembling thugs rather than businesspeople. I reported the incident immediately, and the police confirmed that they were in the wrong. There was no sense of decorum or remorse from the restaurant. It’s disappointing that Uber and DoorDash delivery drivers kept your business afloat during the city shutdown, only to be met with hostility and aggression. I urge both couriers and customers to avoid this establishment. They are terrible!"
