"I wrote a glowing review for our favorite restaurant a few years back when it first opened, but after our visit last Friday, I have to say I was disappointed. This was the first time we've had a meal that didn't meet expectations. The Shrimp Catalan was particularly unappealing; the shrimp was slightly overcooked, and the potatoes were quite undercooked. They definitely didn’t resemble patatas bravas, which should be crispy. At the end of the meal, we ordered a cheese that was melted, which was not what we had anticipated, and the cheese separated from the oil almost immediately. On the bright side, the octopus remained as fantastic as ever, and the salmon tartar was great too. The prawn toast (bruschetta) was just mediocre and not up to its usual standard. I used to love their Bacala (smoked cod) bruschetta, which was exceptional, but unfortunately, they removed it from the menu over a year ago—I really wish they would bring it back. We’ll likely give it another chance, but I’m not sure we can still call it our favorite restaurant. The service, however, has always been good here."
