"Me and my family of three are visiting St. Louis, and upon our arrival at the restaurant, the hostess informed us of a 90-minute wait and assured us they would text when the table was ready. We decided to explore Union Station, just a short 5-minute walk away. Surprisingly, only 15 minutes later, we received a text indicating our table was ready. Since we were nearby, I confirmed the text and had my sister drop me off at the door to check in.Upon reaching the hostess to check in, she mentioned that one member of our party was missing to be seated , which was never communicated to us initially or in the text message. I explained that she was parking. The hostess mentioned a 5-minute grace period but failed to inform me that exceeding this time would require us to reschedule our reservation for another 90 minutes. When my sister arrived just 3 minutes later, she was informed that we needed to reschedule, causing unnecessary confusion and inconvenience. This experience left us feeling undervalued as customers. It seemed petty and inconsiderate to reset the timer after initially indicating a longer wait time. As someone who appreciates efficient time management, this situation was disappointing."
