"The ambiance was nice, featuring a singer and guitarist, and the restaurant had a warm, inviting glow. We were seated right away and greeted by our server within a couple of minutes. However, once the surprise of the limited menu wore off, we quickly placed our order. The server seemed a bit disappointed that we don’t drink, so we ordered our three-course meals within five minutes. Our appetizers arrived in just three minutes. We ordered the ahi, which was a medium-sized portion that was overly dressed in sauce, alongside just three saltine crackers. Seriously? Only three? We also ordered the crab cakes, which were good but likely pre-made. About five minutes later, our main courses came out. The sea bass was flavorful, but the aged NY strip steak topped with shrimp was another story. The steak was thin and cooked medium (I had ordered it medium rare) and topped with just two small to medium shrimp. We couldn’t help but chuckle at the odd presentation—it was reminiscent of the three saltines with the ahi. The steak was tough, but the peppercorn sauce made it somewhat palatable. The shrimp were completely unremarkable. Deserts arrived about five minutes after we finished our dinners. The tiramisu was fantastic, and the lava cake with coffee ice cream was decent. The ice cream was excellent, but the lava cake didn’t seem to be made in-house. We were never offered coffee. From the time we were seated until the check was dropped on our table, less than 60 minutes had passed. It felt incredibly rushed! We only saw our server twice: once to take our order and again to deliver the bill. We were never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. In total, we spent $335 with tax and tip for mediocre food and, frankly, disappointing service. This was our first visit to this place, and I'm unsure if we will return, which is a shame because it's a charming spot that could have offered an epic meal, even with the prix fixe surprise."
