"Really put off by this restaurant. The atmosphere is beautiful, but that’s kind of where it ended. Our waiter was pretty abrasive, kind of loud in your face type person. I was still finishing the food in front of me when he tried to grab my plate as he asked if I was done. I just let him take it. It was almost like he was trying to get us out of there in a hurry because he was at our table every couple minutes. Fast-forward To when we’re ready for the check and he’s nowhere to be found. I’m just using my best guess here, By all the sniffing and rubbing of his nose, he was doing I’m pretty sure you can guess what I’m thinking he was on. Food was very mediocre. for the prices you would expect top quality, But delmonicos blows this place out of the water. Linguine carbonara was very good, the steak was just OK, the short rib was trash. On top of that I’m pretty sure I was overcharged or charge for items we didn’t get, I asked my waiter to return with the receipt, but I never saw him again we were in a rush to get out. I left just feeling really put off and not great about the experience we had"

"Our server was very attentive and made excellent food recommendations. The menu was limited but everything tasted great! I had heard about the excellent views, but went after dark and there wasn 't much to see! There was also a private party the night we were there (I was alerted to the fact ahead of time), and that made it louder than perhaps a normal night. Glad I made reservations and ate there, but will probably try some new restaurants out before going back."

"The kitchen, and atmosphere is amazing. But the food wasn’t anything special.A lot of semolina, basic pastas extruded for machinery rather than handcrafted, elegant pasta, that you would receive from an authentic experience.Terrible staff didn’t feel welcome at all.also it was sad to see that no one truly enjoyed themselves all of my company wasn’t pleased with any and of any of the stories I told them from opening week and I started working there to help open the restaurant.The owner, Andrew is a very temperamental, rich kid that still lives off of his parents money. It takes a vantage of a lot of cooks and chefs in the kitchen industry around the Pittsburgh area.Myself and a lot of other cooks and chefs, he owes money to that he refuses to pay.It sickens me that this man is still in business, but that’s only because his parents pour the money into it.I really hope that Andrew can realize that he can’t treat people that way and continue to get away with it. I hope one day he can finally find help and figure out what he really needs in life."

"The entrees were delicious scallops and sea bass but the octopus app was not what was expected. The pieces were very small. The baby kale salad came with romaine which was fine but not what was advertised and the parm was more grated than shaved. It was tasty just not what was expected. The space and views are beautiful. The service was ok. Everyone was very pleasant but our server did not know if menu items could come vegetarian and had to go back to the kitchen times to ask. We also waited mins for the apps to arrive. Additionally they sold out of several menu items and it was only I really wanted to love this restaurant but was underwhelmed. I will give it another shot as it may have just been an off night"

"As someone who moved from northern New Jersey, I've spent 17 years searching for the perfect Brooklyn-style pizza in the area. I can finally say I've found it! And let's not forget about the polenta—wow! It's not often you find that on menus, so I had to give it a try. It is simply outstanding!"

"Been coming here for many years, for parties, business and personal dinners, but this last visit was disappointing. Several food items arrived cold or overcooked. The waiter forgot to bring an item we ordered and it wasn't even acknowledged. For the prices paid, I don't believe the value warrants another visit. I will, however, note that the entire staff knew this was an anniversary celebration and that was a nice touch. Sorry to say I cannot recommend the Highlawn, at this time. It seems to have lost its luster as being one of the finest establishments in the area. Quality of food, service and overall value always outweigh location and ambience."

"We decided to ignore the negative reviews and gave this restaurant a try last Saturday, but we won't be returning. We should have listened, but we chose it last minute since it was the only place that wasn't crowded. The food was mediocre at best; pizza is just pizza. The real issue, however, was the staff. The bartender seemed completely clueless—despite the place not being busy, it took us 20 minutes to get our drinks. He spent most of the time either chatting or looking at his phone. Our server was the rudest we've ever encountered, carrying a noticeable chip on her shoulder. Other staff members were too busy joking around and complaining about their tables within earshot of customers. When it came time to order desserts, we had to ask three times. Overall, the level of unprofessionalism here is simply not worth the money or your time. The food doesn't come close to making up for the poor service and attitude from the staff and owner."

"We were in the area for work my supervisor likes to eat Joe's when he's in this area. We had a work lunch here. I had a regular slice of pepperoni and a slice of deep dish sausage pepperoni. Everything was good, but I really enjoyed that deep dish slice. We beat the lunch crowd so we were able to sit inside. No complaints. Customer service was great."

"I was in town with friends for the Wineglass marathon and we were searching for a pasta dinner the night before the race. The reviews are mostly good with a a couple bad ones sprinkled in that we were concerned about but since this is the only Italian restaurant within at least 30 minutes, we took the gamble. The food was disappointing to say the least. The homemade pasta was angel hair from a box and the chicken parm was so thick/tough (not pounded out at all) that it was inedible. The prices were also extremely high given the quality of food (we were actually up charged for said homemade pasta even though we were told it came with the entrees). I feel bad writing this but it was such a disappointing meal when we needed something to fuel us for the next day. Take out pizza would have been a better option."

"10 out of 10. This place is fantastic! The pizza is the best in the area, and every employee is incredibly friendly. They genuinely strive to make you feel welcome. As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted by a couple of stereotypical Italian Long Islanders behind the counter chatting about pizza or something similar. Then, you place your order for their reasonably priced food, take a bite, and you might just find yourself lingering like a fly in a flytrap. Plus, my grandma is good friends with one of the ladies behind the counter, and if that doesn’t indicate how great this place is, I don’t know what will. Bonbino's has my grandma's seal of approval!"

"I called in a pizza order and the background noise level was quite high. The young woman taking my order couldn't hear my name well, instead of saying excuse me, she replied with "what?" She didn't listen to my request and I had to repeat myself several times as she seemed quite distracted. When I picked up the pizza, another young woman met me with quite an attitude and asked for my name twice, again saying "huh"? This was very unprofessional. When I took out my wallet to pay, the flashlight on my phone went on. The person informed me of this, and I replied that I couldn't take care of it as I was paying for my pizza. Her response was snippy; she said, "I'm just trying to help". When I asked about the cost of the pizza, she initially didn't respond and then answered with a snarl. After paying, I told her about my experience when ordering my pizza and she seemed clueless. I had never been to this establishment before, but did so today at my grandsons' request. I will never be returning. I am not a rude person and do not appreciate being treated poorly. I do not live in Massapequa, and believe me, this pizza was nothing special. "This is based on takeout I got from Marco Polo. I've never eaten in the restaurant. I've walked past them dozens of times and have always been curious, so when an Italian craving hit, my bf and I decided to try them out. Delivery came quick and our mains arrived warm. Unfortunately nothing was very good. We ordered the caesar salad, penne vodka, and chicken parm. It also came with several slices of bread. The bread was SUPER STALE. At least a day old. I'm surprised they deemed that acceptable to serve. The caesar was ok, but we were not a fan of the powdered parmesan or the thick dressing with a heavy anchovy flavor. The cheese on the chicken parm tasted store bought. The pastas were edible. I really believe that you get what you pay for. Just a couple nights prior we went to another Italian restaurant, had a phenomenal meal, and paid the exact same price as we did for this takeout. Same amount of food. We are willing to pay for quality. If Marco Polo charged 1/2 the price, or even 2/3 the price, then my expectations would have been been lowered and the quality would have made sense. But something just isn't adding up here."

"Today, I ordered a Tangier omelette and lentil soup from a restaurant through GrubHub. I can't provide feedback on the soup as I will be having it for dinner later, but I was disappointed with the omelette. The seasoning in the eggs and potatoes was good, but the avocado was overripe and very brown. It seemed like someone had intentionally chosen a bad avocado for this paid service. Despite the restaurant's great reviews, I feel like I received a subpar order, so I don't think I will be ordering from here again."

"We are happy Bella pizza is near our hotel, will come back again. The servers were nice and friendly. Breakfast and coffee was good and affordable. Omelette comes with potatoes/toast with butter and coffee for $8. I say it’s affordable because we paid $26 for 2 at another coffee shop (coffee, bagel/lox, hot chocolate, egg/cheese sandwich) and the server was rude adding more pain to the heavy bill....so please people check out other coffee places before writing complaints."

"It is a trendy place with cool vibes and convenient location. It is just steps from Harrison Railway Station and Red Bulls Arena. Despite the proximity to the arena, it seems that they still adapt to the handling of the post game haste. We visited after a game and our experience was just ok. We were lucky that we sat fast when the ones who arrived soon had to wait for places. But everything after that just took too long. When we enter our order, get our order, just get a hold of our server, everything just took too long. Until our food we had pizza and there was nothing from this world. It was a bit too fat for my pleasure, the cheese just melted off and made it particularly dirty. While this is not my cup of tea, I know that there are people who enjoy their pizza in this way. I think they have to get used to a rush. Despite our moderate experience, we would visit again."
