"This restaurant was really trying to be the third coast by dumping the entire ocean 's worth of salt into their dishes. I have never been so thirsty in my life the day after I ate here. With the number of great reviews on top of the beautiful interiors, I had such high expectations for this restaurant that I happily brought my partner and his father (who traveled from out of the country to visit to the restaurant. Imagine my disappointment and embarrassment for bringing them here, only to be given overpriced and oversalted food. The only redeeming factors of the restaurant were the interior design (absolutely gorgeous , the potholes (delicious but still salty , and our waitress who served us in the mezzanine on 10/8 (I forgot her name, sorry! . When we first got our appetizer--the mushrooms, we were literally eating a spoonful of salt at a time. I RARELY send back food, but I had to send the mushrooms back before the dish induces any hypertensive emergency among us. After we got the new mushrooms dish after telling our waitress we wanted just 1/4-1/3 of the salt, the dish still came back extremely salty and the waitress said the cook apologized for ACCIDENTALLY DOUBLE-SALTING THE DISH. I 'm sorry, but WHAT. All of our subsequent dishes then tasted all just like salt without a hint of other seasoning. I wasn 't sure if it 's because our tastebuds were so skewed after eating so much salt that our remaining dishes just didn 't taste that great. It was just salty. Anyways we walked out with a $260 bill for three people which was outrageous for this quality of food in Milwaukee of all places. I 'm not sure how people are raging about this restaurant. I have sworn to never return and have told others to avoid going to this restaurant altogether. Opt for somewhere else for better quality food that 's actually worth the cost."

"Tiny Lou’s is a basic Instagram Influencer’s wet dream. Lots of photo ops but nary a good dish! We had a GREAT server, Fiona, who suggested all of the dishes cocktails we were excited to try. The Good Their new signature cocktail, the Ango Colada, was delicious! Rum, bitters, pineapple juice, coconut milk, and lime make for an excellent drink. The OverHyped Buratta Bread Service. Our bread was not freshly baked. The buratta in the center was ice cold and the bread was fall apart crusty, not pillowy. Our serving was a leftover piece from the day before and reheated. This was the start to our meal and pretty much set the tone… The Flavorless The French Onion Soup was so oily and flavorless. The dish is lacking salt and the onions were actually still crunchy. The Claremont Burger is an unseasonable patty of beef cooked within an inch of its death. This was ordered at a medium temperature and came out well done. The fries that accompanied this burger were so salty, they should have been added to the soup! The OverCooked and OverSalted The Hanger Steak (ordered medium) and Truffle Fries arrived as one charred brick of well done steak along with the saltiest fries ever. The truffle and Parmesan smelled wonderful when the plate was presented, but the fries were inedible due to the amount of salt that covered them. We were really disappointed in the whole meal as the service, cocktails and restaurant are wonderful. Adding t Tiny Lou’s to the ‘one and done’ list."

"The venue boasts an Instagram-worthy deck and ambiance, but regrettably falls short in most other aspects. The cocktails, while decent, couldn't compensate for our underwhelming experience. Although the bartenders were friendly, our initial seating left much to be desired. I didn't anticipate a minimum spending requirement at such restaurant; my expectations were closer to the service standards at Gracias Madre and Manuela. Our server seemed disinterested, lacking the warm hospitality I had hoped for. She took our appetizer order but immediately asked if we were only ordering that, with an unwelcoming attitude. Despite this, we proceeded with the evening. The food was passable, with the shrimp having an off-putting fishy taste, but the Hamachi was enjoyable. The waitress neglected our table while attending to others nearby. Upon requesting the bill, she loudly informed us of a $45 minimum spend per person, which caught me off guard. Ironically, we had already ordered cocktails at the bar that would have met this minimum, though I wasn't prepared to explain. This entire experience left me dissapointed, my expectations may have been too high for a restaurant where the cheapest protein entree was $42 or more. I offered feedback to the manager, who was polite and mentioned that the minimum was on the menu, but it wasn't the norm I was use to in similar places. Sadly, I'd rather pay premium prices for superior food and service elsewhere."
