"We have eaten here a few times before and we always found the food to be excellent. Last night we took friends of ours and surprisingly the restaurant was very crowded which I was happy to see. Unfortunately we had 2 issues . One major issue was the noice level as there was live entertainment by the bar which actually was pretty good. Unfortunately it was extremely difficult carrying on a conversation with our friends at the table. Very upsetting as I never had this problem before. Previous visits here the environment was relaxed and quiet. The second issue was the time it took to bring out the entrees. The waiter did come over to the table and apologized twice and they did made a compensation on the bill for this inconvenience. However I think my wife's entree came out dry because it was being kept warm too long, and my friends entree came out cold. On the whole I felt the food to be better when the place wasn't as crowded. I would definitely return here but maybe not on a Saturday night."

"I arrived with a reservation for my birthday, but the hostess informed me that I would need to wait 25 minutes to be seated on the lower level. While waiting, I went down to the bar and noticed four small tables were available. I politely asked the hostess why I had to wait, and she explained that all the tables were reserved by the owner. It was quite frustrating to begin my birthday dinner with such difficulty in securing a table."

"The service we received at this restaurant was very friendly and attentive. We chose to split the antipasti for one, which was simple with only cold cuts and two slices of provolone, but it lacked dressing. My companion ordered the lasagne, which was a good size and delicious, although he was informed that it was meatless when it wasn't. I decided on the Veal Marsala with mushrooms, which was tasty and had tender veal (something rare in most restaurants). The portions were generous and reasonably priced. Despite not being in my neighborhood, I would probably come back again."

"Jonah’s is my favorite restaurant! Even though we live in Champaign, we visit as often as we can. We went there to celebrate my birthday, and if you mention it’s a special occasion, they will print it on their menu and treat you to the most incredible chocolate cake! I highly recommend going there as soon as you can!"

"We've been here many times over the years and this time our experience was subpar. Our waiter forgot about us and we had to flag him down several times. He checked in on how our food was about 20 minutes after receiving it. He dropped off the dessert menu and didn't bother to tell us the gelato flavors. By then we had had enough and decided to leave. The upside was the plat du jour (bouillabaisse) was delicious and I highly recommend the Thai Curry mussels. The food is always great here, I think they just had an off night."

"The food was bland and underseasoned. I had the fillet which was actually cooked perfectly, but lacked almost any seasoning. After applying salt and pepper, it was OK. The same could be said of the ribeye steak, which was actually cooked perfectly, but again had little to no seasoning. we also ordered the truffle, macaroni and cheese, which had very little cheese, was made with a penne, pasta noodle, and all of the truffle oil strained to the bottom of the glass ramekin one highlight was that the brussels sprouts were delicious, as were the mashed potatoes. in addition, cocktails, tasty, although they took forever to get to the table. I genuinely would like to give this place another chance, as it seems that perhaps the owners are new to the restaurant business, although I could be wrong. It's a great space, and, it appears they are trying hard, but the staff peers to be somewhat inexperienced, and they seem to be a little bit lost. Fingers crossed that they get it together as I would really like to see this place succeed."

"I ordered two Caesar salads with chicken, onion rings, jalapeño poppers, and garlic bread. What I actually received were two salads, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and garlic bread. The onion rings were probably the highlight of the meal, but that's not saying much. The mozzarella sticks were cold, and the garlic bread was soggy and soft. Unfortunately, the salads were the worst part. It was clear that they had been prepared in advance and left out, as the lettuce was in terrible condition—limp and dressed with a strange, tangy, eggy sauce. My sister could barely eat more than two bites. To make matters worse, the salads were not what was advertised. While the romaine and chicken were correct, there was an unexpected Italian dressing flavor along with cucumbers and tomatoes, to which I am allergic. Neither restaurant claims to offer a salad consisting solely of cucumbers, tomatoes, and chicken. I've never encountered a more unappetizing salad in my life, and I've had my fair share of them. Overall, I would give this experience a -10/10. I will never order from El Ranchito or Pasta Brava again."

"Lunch was fantastic! The BLT was spot on, and I always request crispy bacon – they nailed it! The bacon was cooked to perfection, and the tomatoes were incredibly fresh. The sandwiches were just the right size, so I could comfortably take a bite, yet the portions were generous. The service was quick, and our waitress Liz was not only friendly but also very attentive and personable. The restaurant was clean, and the retro decor added a nice touch. If you haven't tried the Blue Moon Cafe yet, you definitely should. Great food, reasonable prices, and excellent service!"

"The service was excellent and very attentive. The menu offered a good varied selection and our meals were delicious. The decor is modern and tables are not crowded side by side. I especially liked the living garden wall of greenery and waterfall on the back wall of the restaurant. I would definitely return."

"I’ve been here a few times with my girlfriend. Some times we’ve been here the service has been downright awful. This was especially the case in the months after COVID restrictions were eased, though our more recent visits have been better. They have a dedicated vegetarian and vegan menu which is a very nice touch. With that said, I’ve never been impressed by their food. Chips are often stale, guacamole can be over salted. I recently got the Portabelli Tacos and the taco shells were extremely stale. The portabello was very heavily breaded and fried, which may be appealing to some but wasn’t for me. Wouldn’t come back for food, but they do have nice drinks and I can appreciate the offering if a vegan and vegetarian menu"

"I made a reservation for my son's birthday lunch at this restaurant. The downstairs dining area was lovely, but we opted to sit inside because it was a little cold in the back garden. The mussels were amazing, and there were multiple dishes featuring Belgian waffles as their base on the menu. We tried two different kinds and they were both fantastic. Be sure to try the Belgian beer on tap as well."

"My family loves Jalisco Cafe, Bonita. First stop for our out of state visitors. Everything is good. Favorites are Enchilada Suiza, Quesadilla Ranchero Deluxe with Carne Asada, Chile con Carne Burrito Grande. Absolutely the best Chile Rellenos I have found anywhere. Out of state visitors freeze a lot of the delicious Jalisco Cafe food here and fly it back home with them, it is so good!"

"I have been coming here for years but have not been back in a while. We recently went there the past couple Saturdays and had an excellent lunch. It is an old-school Delicatessen with all the great options including a tray of pickles on the table, bread and bagel chips. The food is great, the service is great and I love the atmosphere. Make sure to try their daily selection of soups, as on Saturdays, their potato soup is amazing. The only downside to our meal was they currently do not carry red horseradish for the gefilte fish, only the white, so I ordered something else. Please bring the red horseradish back. Will definitely be coming here more frequently."

"I recently visited The Shilo Inn, home to The Portage Grill. I was a bit surprised to find Cajun dishes on the menu, especially given the location in the ravine. However, I must say it was the best service I’ve experienced in a long time. The food was outstanding and the view was fantastic. If you ever find yourself in The Dalles, be sure to stop by and see for yourself!"

"The biggest challenge for most fancy places is consistency- making sure that quality is routinely met. Once again, Pierro’s scores a big win with every dish being well prepared, tasteful and made with care. A great staff and ambiance also add to make it the place to impress a new date, client or finicky family member. And the Tuscan Ribeye- Pittsburgh style- still retains its status as best steak in town."
