"Yesterday we celebrated a birthday at the restaurant with a party of 10 guests, including two children aged 6 and 9. Unfortunately, after waiting for 1.5 hours, our salads were finally served. I politely asked the waiter to expedite our meals due to the young kids, but he explained that the kitchen only starts preparing the food once the salads are served, giving them half an hour to get everything ready. In the end, we spent a total of 2 hours and 45 minutes for dinner, which we found to be an absurdly long wait. The food itself was delicious, but the excessive wait time was unacceptable."

"I was in Chicago for a conference and the organizers ordered a Kosher lunch from Shallots Bistro. They ordered the menu item 'The Bomb ' it was a pretzel bun filled with all sorts of deli meats and sauces. It was quite delicious, which is good because they ordered it 4 times that week! One of the evenings my wife and I went out to Shallots and we had a wonderful time, the steaks were expertly prepared and drinks were refreshing and the dessert quite interesting. Great place for a special night out."

"After waiting around 40mins for our food, which when finally arrived the waiter apologized for the delay since it was busy for a show night. PS that's why we made reservations so we could also be on time for the show.. The food was just so-so. We selected the tomahawk which were advised was finished table side with a flambeed. They wheeled the steak around the entire restaurant to get up to the raised platform we were on. But they failed to mention just the sauce would be flambeed.. our steak never hit the pan. Our food when finally received was cold. Not that we would have had time to send it back because our waiter never checked on us.. even if we did we would then have been late for the show and/or been stuck with now over cooked steak. When my husband have the rare opportunity to get out without the kids we always select a fine dining steakhouse so we are used to the prices which we never mind when the food is worth it. This however was not. The best item in on the whole menu is the free bread and butter. Another suggestion would be to invest in the illuminated menus many steakhouses now have, when the restaurant is so dark it helps patrons see what they are ordering."

"WOW! I am like absolutely shocked how amazing this place was! First off my family and I loved the decor and its rustic feel. We have never dined here before so we asked our server (noel) on the rundown. First she is super friendly, warm, and treated my son (3yrold) like he was hers. She knew how to treat a toddler and what to order for him and that made our dinner SO much more relaxing. I ordered the steak and my wife the waygu burger and WOW- Its the best one in the city. Noel SOLD us on the aoli that comes with the meal (we are not an aoli couple) but SHEESH it was so good we took one to go! Frontier is a hidden gem and I cant wait to come on a sunday for a NFL Saints game (per a hint from our server and bartender Joel). Love the staff (southern hospitality) and the well flavored hearty foods."

"Another successful dinner night with friends that were visiting from out of town. We were accommodated with seating and arrival time and this speaks volume given that it was a Saturday night and it was busy. Our waiter Benjamin was attentive, patient and kind. We had questions about certain food and he made sure to confirm with the chef/kitchen staff when needed. He did not seem bothered at all and we had a several questions. We ordered the Salmon(Farmed Atlantic) which was good and swapped the rice for their mashed potatoes (very filling), the Beef Ribs were juicy, Maki-State of Zen, Vargas VIP platter for 4 which comes with a good portion of: fried calamaris, gyoza (no porc), grilled vegetables, 4 shrimps and beef skewers. Whenever you are in Montreal and want to be assured of a having a good night out, head on over to Vargas. Your tummy and company will be happy that you did."

"1. The host recognized us and remembered our seating preferences. 2. The food was just as delicious as before. 3. The service was exceptional and prompt, even from staff who weren’t directly assigned to our table. For instance, when we requested butter, a server quickly brought it to us, despite likely having other tables to attend to. 4. The cleanliness of both the bathroom and kitchen areas was impressive. 5. The friendliness of the staff stood out. It’s refreshing when employees genuinely seem happy to see you, and their warmth feels authentic rather than forced—a smile for a smile! "There wasn't anything we tried that we didn't like! Don't go to Mickey Mantle's if you're in a hurry though. Our reservation was at 7 and we didn't tab out until 9:45, and that wasn't because we were lingering. The experience is meant to be just that, an experience. I also wouldn't go if you're expecting some cheap options. Everything is pricey but everything we ordered was worth it. The drink menu is well rounded, with something for everyone and a delicious Pinot Grigio. The crab claw appetizer had the biggest crab claws we'd ever had and most delicious hot scampi sauce that was perfect with the warm bread they serve. "I have been going to Red for several years now, and the sushi (nigiri and rolls) and service are always top-notch. My only complaint is it's better to eat outside because inside they play awful club music that is too loud in a very echoy interior, and it completely ruins the vibe and eliminates a nice, quiet or even romantic atmosphere. It's almost anxiety inducing. I really wish they would change it as it's a major turn-off for dining inside. I do highly recommend their Suntory Toki Old Fashioned. It's one of the best I've ever had anywhere. Its. Immaculately crafted and blended using the wonderful Bittercube bitters. As someone who lived in Japan for a couple of years and ate a lot of sushi, this is easily one of, if not the best, sushi places in Wisconsin. "Winnie, our server was exceptional. She guided us and we were unable to decide on what to order. Our food was absolutely Devine. We started with coconut shrimp. Cooked to perfection and the sauce is absolute perfection: a touch of spice, sweetness and perhaps a hint of curry. We the. Had the Thai shrimp salad. That was something else. The shrimp were again, cooked to perfection. The Smokey flavor mixed beautifully with the Thai flavors of the pasta and dressing. My husband had the T-bone. Honestly, my least favorite cut of meat, however, here it was to die for and I may have to order it myself. I ordered the sea bass. Thickest piece of sea bass Iâve ever had, but once again, cooked to absolute perfection. Perfectly seared on the outside and fully cooked in the center without any dryness. Our go to drink, mojito, was the best weâve ever had. Ambiance is loud which we loved. Our two kids were being their wild selves without disturbing anyone. They had the chicken tenders. Real breast, lightly battered, well seasoned and not greasy. Hands down the best food in town."

"I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The server was not accommodating and one of the meals did not match the description on the menu. When I asked the server about it, she dismissed my concerns and walked away. Another meal had undercooked fish, which had to be sent back and took a long time to be fixed. "Like an old supper club. You walk in and are greeted by a large podium. Specials were Prime Rib and Crab Legs....separate dishes. Live piano playing which adds to ambiance for good or ill. They have a salad bar, which is ok and has soup on it. Portions seem plentiful. there is a bar separate from the dining room so if that is your taste one can go in there. Place was crowded but got reservation right away. It is a popular place."

"The first time we went to Bistro 7 the food and service were outstanding. The last few times not so much. Now, Bistro 7 is a decent place to eat but just not great. Just stay away from any holiday dinners where there's a prix fixe menu here. We started with the crab dip which was good, but the bread served with it was just a long roll cut up. Needed some crostini or something. My wife had the stuffed pork chops with mashed. Again good just not great. I had the Chilean Sea Bass, which was cooked properly and flavorful. The Forbidden rice was plain, it needed something extra, some kind of added flavoring. Waitstaff was very good, and we tipped accordingly."

"Make the most of Restaurant Week to explore new dining options. The service was friendly, and they kindly accommodated a small adjustment to my order, which I truly appreciated. However, the bottle of wine didn’t arrive until after the appetizers were served, resulting in the wine being enjoyed alongside a less-than-hot starter (the firecracker shrimp), which made it cool down even more. The main course was quite brief in terms of aging, but it was far from spectacular. The gluten-free chocolate cake had a cheesecake-like texture and was very good. The wine list is impressive for this type of establishment. Overall, it feels like it has been eight years of going without (since 2021)."

"We’ve been here enough to know that they offer great service, but my recent visit was unfortunately disappointing. Sunday night, not crowded at all. After our server got our drink order, he didn’t come back for good 15min to take our food order. We had to ask busboy to get the server, and for some reason we got a completely different person to be taken care. She was nice, but never came back for drink refill and, I don’t know, it just wasn’t the usual accommodating service I’ve known to enjoy. I brought my friends who were their first visit, hoping they’ll like the place, but I don’t think they will ever come back…"

"I haven 't given reviews in a long time but had to say something about this Monticello location CPK on Monroe Lawrence. We usually go to the valley fair location but decided to try this new one since it was on our way. We were 3 people only. The restaurant was empty but the host said he would not seat us for 20 min because they had a group of 10 that was slowing them down. An empty restaurant on a Saturday was getting overwhelmed by 10 people . I thought it seemed a bit fishy but it turns out it was more racist. We decided to order takeout. While waiting for our meal, I watched the racist behavior of the manager staff. After us some 5 different Caucasians couples came, unrelated, who got the seats right away, then came another Indian family of 3 adults and 2 kids who were asked to 'wait '. Few Caucasians came and went straight inside. Then an elderly Asian couple came who were asked to wait 5-10 min or they could sit outside. So they chose to be outside. 1 Caucasian lady came and sat at the bar right away. Then another Indian couple asked if they could also be seated at the bar but were told they could order takeout or wait. . If this is not racist then I don 't know what it was. Finally after 30 min our order got done. I,just after observing their behavior, decided to open all our orders, which my daughter found embarrassing but lo I was right our 1 order was wrong and burnt !! Getting them to redo took another 10 min. NEVER GOING BACK!! Not to this location ever!!! Btw we came because we had t mobile offer."
