"During my last visit, I remember some standout cocktails: if I recall correctly, the 'Brooklyn Nail' and 'Cucumber Spring Water' were both excellent. For starters, we enjoyed 'On Dough' (flatbreads) with Mediterranean steak and bourbon pulled beef, both of which were fantastic. The dough was just right—not thick, chewy, or heavy like at some other places—making it a perfect starter for a large group or a date.
We also tried the tuna tartare and smoked beef tartare, and the cocktails we had between dishes were fabulous. The smoked beef tartare was the best I’ve ever had! For our entrees, we shared the bronzed fish, which was epic—cooked perfectly with amazing flavors, and the fish was super fresh. The bourbon beef ribs were exceptional, too.
I’m a huge fan of veal, and it’s often hard to find it done right at other restaurants, but Bison and Bourbon absolutely nailed the veal chop. I highly recommend it! As for sides, I had several, and they were all delicious, but the bourbon cipollini onions (which had a great kick!) and sautéed kale are must-tries. Oh, and don’t forget to order the chickpea snack from the bar menu—it’s a legit choice!
Although I’m not usually a dessert person, everyone in my party loved them. I did try the banana bread pudding and it was fantastic—I even finished my buddy’s portion while he took a call!
Here’s the kicker: the atmosphere is unparalleled. We dined outdoors in the courtyard, which has a great vibe—chic with plenty of space between tables. Our waitress was phenomenal; she knew the menu by heart and was very attentive. The timing of the food delivery was perfect, too.
Oh, and both times I found parking in under 30 seconds and within a block. Winner, winner, bourbon dinner!"
