"We dined at 6 pm on a Friday evening. We had made a reservation, but didn’t really need one at this time. The restaurant was beautiful and historic. The place was nearly empty, so we had a lot of personal attention from our waitress. She was great. There is a piano bar across the lobby that is louder and more active. Some may prefer that environment, but we were looking for a quiet experience so the dining room suited us better. The salmon was phenomenal, lobster ravioli was a little rich but flavorful. Our daughter enjoyed the Gouda Mac. Crab cake appetizer was just mediocre. Our waitress went above and beyond to find our daughter a dessert after she had asked for ice cream (which they didn’t have. We were very happy with the service. There was a large party dining in a private room in the back of the restaurant. They were walking back and forth through the dining area to get to their room from the bar. Many of these guests were loud and obnoxious. Their behavior (swearing and shouting wasn’t the restaurant’s fault, but the layout of the space lent itself to this issue. I would have appreciated someone speaking with them, especially as we were dining with our 10-year-old. Overall, it was still a nice experience with good food and wine but a few issues to work out."
