Savory mushrooms sautéed to perfection, served with fresh herbs and a hint of garlic.

"What a wonderful find just across the border from Elizabeth, NJ, in Roselle Park! I stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for places to eat near Kean University on Google. I recommend parking on the side street for a hassle-free exit and easier access. I decided to stick with my usual favorites: horchata and tacos—specifically the Taquiza el Portal, which comes with 10 assorted tacos and delicious sides. Just to clarify, all this food was for me! They use corn tortillas, which I absolutely adore, and keep the toppings simple with onions and cilantro (check out the photos). Each meat was bursting with flavor, not overly salty, and perfectly moist. I took home about three pounds of leftovers, which tasted just as fantastic the next day. The mango cake was a delightful surprise, part cake and part mango custard on top. I highly recommend this place for a date night, casual dining, or any time you’re in the mood for outstanding Mexican food. I’ll definitely be back!"

"The street tacos are absolutely fantastic! It does get busy, but the wait is definitely worth it. The service is quick, and everything is fresh. I always get the tacos con queso, and they never disappoint—they're always delicious. My husband tried the torta birria, but he wasn't a fan of the birria because the oil had a bad taste. He managed to eat it, but he really didn’t enjoy the flavor of the oil, which tasted a bit off."

"Last year was exceptional. We came again for Christmas and looked forward to our return. We were disappointed to see the quality has changed. There must have been a change of chefs as sadly our expectations were not met. The appetizers were great. The ceviche was really flavorful and fresh. The mains were disappointing. Their take on tortilla soup was creative and the pour over excited the senses, however it was incredibly thick (like a gravy) with a bland flavor. We both left quite a bit in our bowls as it was on the verge of inedible due to the consistency. The chef deserves the feedback as it was just tortillas in a small amount of gravy."

"Naturally, I ordered tacos, specifically the pescatarian version. While the menu was extensive and inclusive, I found it a bit overwhelming. I prefer a simpler menu that clearly outlines appetizers and entrees in an easy-to-read format. Nevertheless, this didn't detract too much from my dining experience since I already knew what I wanted. Upon sitting down, we were automatically served chips, and I requested some guacamole on the side. Unfortunately, the guacamole came topped with cheese. I appreciate the creativity, but in today's world, I'd prefer the option to request dairy or toppings since many people have dietary restrictions. I believe there's a lot of potential to cater to these needs by offering customizable dishes that allow diners to choose according to their preferences. Now, onto the entrees— I ordered the birria shrimp tacos. They took a while to arrive, but when they did, they were hot, steamy, and beautifully colorful. However, they were unfortunately lacking in seasoning, particularly salt. I appreciated the freshness of the ingredients and the presentation, but what good is food without seasoning? Is it still considered good? I want my senses to be awakened! I want to not just taste the food, but truly indulge in the experience. Everything else was wonderful— our waitress was attentive and the atmosphere felt cozy. I just really needed that seasoning!"

"The ambiance at the restaurant was pleasant, with an acceptable level of noise. However, the food was lacking in quality. The service, on the other hand, was excellent, with friendly waitstaff and a welcoming reception. The sweetness of the sauces in our Mexican dishes was off-putting and not to our liking. The salsa for the fries tasted more like spaghetti, which was disappointing. The enchilada sauce was particularly bad, with its overly sweet flavor and the unusual addition of cinnamon. In our opinion, this combination did not work well for enchiladas, and it was a letdown. We were not impressed with the taste overall."

"I decided to visit Santioni's for my wife's birthday as it was highly recommended as a great Italian restaurant. The prices here are a tad bit too expensive all things considered. The service is top-notch however and this restaurant has some of the mostprofessional staff I have ever witnessed here on the west side. The ambiance is also very nice with slightly dim lightingthroughout the restaurant and they had a live pianist who would play Italian as well as really quite beautiful music that Ibelieve she composed herself. You are definitely paying for the experience here as the prices are elevated even though many ofthe dishes are quite good. Of note, I really loved the spinach and garlic calzone although I was shocked when I saw that it cost$30 for just the medium size. This was a bit of a special request as it's not on their menu so this may have contributed to theelevated cost. I was told by my wife that the calamari was quite good however she wasn't too fond of the eggplant Parmesan. Withregard to their pizza, we were a bit split 50/50 I wasn't as fond of the sauce as I thought it tastes more like spaghetti saucethan pizza sauce (being a bit too sweet and not as tangy for my taste) however my daughter really liked it. I really feel likeit could have used a bit more oregano but, on a positive note, it's all handmade. The bread that they bring to the table is alsosome of the most delicious garlic bread I have ever had. It was soft and tender to the bite and had just the right mixture ofsalt and garlic. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit to Santioni's however we will probably reserve our visits to specialoccasions only. I would also like to mention that they are probably the best Italian restaurant you will find in the localvicinity."

"I had one of the best experiences at a diner during my recent visit. The food was served hot and was delicious. Unlike many similar establishments that often serve overly salty dishes lacking in quality, this IHOP stood out with its fresh offerings. The service was exceptional; our server was friendly and attentive, regularly checking in without making us feel rushed, and the timing of our meal delivery was spot on. The atmosphere exuded a retro vintage charm, and both the guests and staff appeared to be in great spirits."

"This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter, on his own initiative, brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate. We will come back in any case."

"We have been to Tapeo three or four times each with friends. Each time the food was wonderful and the service was exemplary. The first time we had the paella and the portions were too much for us. The other times we had tapas...a total of about 10 different ones. Only one we felt overpriced (the lamb chops 2 small chops which were not enough to share. However EVERY dish was wonderful! Would absolutely recommend this for groups of 6 or 8 and anything smaller. The food will be memorable. Best Spanish food in Palm Beach and Broward counties"

"My family of three adults and two well-behaved children visited the restaurant on a Sunday at 5 pm. The restaurant was not very crowded, but the hostess was rude and initially placed us at an inconvenient bar table. After requesting to be moved, we were seated at a regular table. The service was slow and disorganized, with incorrect orders and excessively loud music. The BBQ brisket had a strange taste, as if it had been overly smoked. However, the one positive aspect of our experience was the delicious onion rings."

"During a recent visit to town to catch up with friends and family, we decided to have lunch at this spot. It's been several years since our last visit, and it's impressive how much it still feels like it did when it first opened. We actually knew the original owners before the restaurant launched, and we've been regulars ever since. The food remains outstanding, and the Creamy Mushroom soup is an absolute must-try. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming to families. I could elaborate further, but I encourage you to visit and experience it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!"

"Quick service, clean, and ample seating.Burger meat was strange looking and the food basically was falling apart while I tried to eat it but it tasted alright. I was expecting it to just taste like a hamburger with interesting toppings but the meat (saying that as it 's how it 's written on the menu description not due to doubts that it 's meat) didn 't taste like much of anything. Classic frozen fries that were alright. They automatically give you ketchup, ranch, and a spicy dip that was a lot more ? than I could handle on my fries?Truthfully though definitely not bad for the neighborhood or the price just don 't expect to be wowed and you won 't be disappointed."

"We were three adults with two (nicely dressed and well mannered) kids at 5 in the evening on a Sunday. The restaurant was 1/2 empty and the rude hostess shoved us at a tall bar table in between a service station and the kitchen door. After asking someone other than the hostess were moved to a regular table. The waitstaff was either overwhelmed or just terribly trained. Service took forever, orders were wrong, and the music was unnecessarily loud. BBQ brisket tasted like it was pounded with a mallet and soaked in liquid smoke. The one good thing I can say about this place is that the onion rings were incredible."

"This place is a total disappointment. La Feria in Midtown Detroit has better food and menu. Go there if you want a legit experience. The food at this place is overpriced for its quality, We ordered the black ink Paella: very dry, seafood on it was rubbery, dry; the rice layer was very thin and the flavor bland. Gambas al ajillo: overcooked shrimp the garlic undercooked, two tiny slices of bread, not sure if they used extra virgin olive oil, it didn't taste right. We had other tapas of course but not worth mentioning. The wine pours are very small and the service mediocre. $400.00 dinner for 4 people. NOT worth it."
