"Place right off the bat reminded me of being back in old east Austin visiting my grandma. The hostess was very welcoming and all the staff was SO friendly. Had a margarita which was amazingly made. Not too much mix and was just right with the taquilla. Got a great buzz off of one, definitely a plus! Ordered the Al Pastor tacos, which out of all the places I've been too honestly was my favorite because it reminded me of home made food and the fact its served on a skillet, win! Sat outside next to the casa which was an excellent location, great spot to just chill and relax. Watching people come and go and the music... reminded me of being a kid back at grandma's house in old east Austin. I have to go back. Love this place. Thank you all who run that authentic nostalgic charm; Hostess, Waiter, Cook, Bartender, and Busser. Gracias a todos!"

"This is totally about the service. I was in a party of 6. We were seated and served chips and salsa enough for 2. So, 2/3 of the party didn't get chips and salsa service. We also ordered guacamole, which came out lumpy and hard to dip with the chips. We had asked for separate checks for our party before ordering. But by the end of the meal the server forgot the request and was sent back to recalculate our checks. Finally, after recalculating, the server switched a bill in our party with the bill of another customer at a completely different table, giving us that customer's credit card and giving our credit card to the other customer. I will say that our server seemed very inexperienced. The above errors should be able to be corrected with training and experience."

"This restaurant undoubtedly serves the best Caldo de Res I've ever had. My husband and I often explore various Mexican restaurants around the city, but this Ma and Pa establishment surpasses them all in both taste and service. I can't stress enough how much I enjoy visiting here. They offer freshly made juices every day, and my favorite is the cucumber juice. After your meal, you can stroll next door—which is literally connected to the restaurant—to indulge in homemade ice cream or other delightful Mexican desserts, all under the same ownership. This place is truly a hidden gem."

"I’m honestly shocked by how terrible my experience was, especially since I hadn’t encountered anything like this before. This place is overrun with cockroaches. I found a cockroach in my drink, and when I pointed it out, the owner tried to deny it and took the drink away, only to return and claim it was just a piece of cardboard. When I went to the bathroom, I saw cockroaches crawling on the walls."

"First off, the service was impeccable and our waitress was extremely friendly, knowledgeable. Secondly, I 'm not sure why this place isn 't packed on a Friday night. Regardless, our meals seasoned perfectly and the portions could feed a family. My husband and I are from New Jersey, so we know great food and this places surpassed anything that we 've eaten in Denver and we 've been to a lot of great 'atmosphere ' restaurants BUT terrible food. We 're kind of food stubs (BTW...a foodie is fool that just eats). We love great food with levels of favors and textures NOT the common explanations of ingredients from waitress/waiter that 98% falls short every time. We LOVE Denver Colorado, but your food is the worse. That 's many reasons why I love to cook at home to make up the bad meals we 've eaten in Denver. So if your looking for a solid A+ restaurant with great food, try this place"
