"Food was very good. Service was very good. Drinks were top notch. Here’s the issue, if you tell your server that you have anaphylactic shock allergies to three items, you don’t expect them to deliver a sauce with two of those items to your plate. I explained how this allergy makes my throat close and my blood pressure drop and also explained I’ve ended up in the emergency room numerous times. It didn’t seem to matter. I called the manager over and explained this and told her to make sure the kitchen staff understands how serious this is. I do not think she took it seriously and that was disappointing."

"The waiter was somewhat impolite initially but became friendlier towards the end of our meal. Unfortunately, they forgot to bring the side dish I had ordered and did not check on us throughout the meal. Additionally, there were several of us who wanted a glass of wine but struggled to get one."
"we have chosen j. gilberts after a friend recommendation to celebrate my birthday. the check-in was fast and the staff was friendly and attentive. our server was there, so a great guy! he runs my family and I to navigate the drink and feed menu for this first time experience. the weeping and eating were great! desert was a courtesy for the birthday child (I) lol. I can only say that this place is one of the best restaurants in ct. definitiw above 5. thanks for the great dinner!"
