"As a large party of 8, we were squeezed into a corner table after a short wait of 10 15 minutes, although the owner was very happy to accommodate us so I don't hold anything against them for this. This restaurant certainly has a cozy atmosphere I don't think more tables could be fit in there if they tried. I ordered a lemonade, but to my surprise this was not fizzy, although this seems to be the norm in California. Browsing the menu, I felt there were too many dishes available, and range is no substitute for quality. The Penne Bolognese should be the benchmark dish at any Italian, but mine was average at best, and the value for money was on the poorer side. We also heard the unpleasant noise of old cooking oil being disposed of in the kitchen midway through our meal. We were at least happy with the speed with which our food came, and the service was good throughout. I'm afraid that food wise this place is a bog standard Italian. As a evening out, however, the ambience inside made it very enjoyable, and we were happy we came."
