"For the holidays, I was gifted a cooking class with Avi, the chef and owner of Simcha. Alongside four other home cooks, we prepared a delightful 30-minute meal that included turkey tenderloin, a salad of blistered tomatoes, basil, and burrata, as well as boiled potatoes seasoned with butter, basil, garlic, and mint. We sipped on wine and beer while enjoying stimulating conversations over our meal, making for a truly memorable afternoon. I picked up some valuable cooking techniques and fresh ideas—who knew mint could elevate potatoes so much?—and shared plenty of laughs. As someone who is a bit introverted, I appreciated Avi's laid-back demeanor, which helped put everyone at ease. I highly recommend taking the class, and I've already suggested the restaurant to others!"
