"Unfortunately, last night we received two completely incorrect pizzas, which has never happened to us before. The delivery driver called to check if we had any issues with the order, so he must have been aware of the mix-up. Additionally, it took 1.5 hours for our pizzas to arrive, which is longer than usual. The third picture I included shows the two pizzas we received. We had ordered the Garlic Lovers Pizza and a Crispy Club, but instead, we got something entirely different. When I called to inform them, the staff member I spoke with seemed a bit rude and blamed it on staffing shortages. I requested a voucher for our next order since I wasn't keen on ordering again that night, even though we could have made the pizzas ourselves. I wanted to ensure I would get the correct pizzas for free on our next order, if possible. She then asked if we were okay with the incorrect pizzas, or if she needed to send out a replacement, which would mean we wouldn’t get credit for a future order. I found it frustrating that they seemed more inclined to send another pizza than to address my concerns. Afterward, when I tried to reorder, we double-checked with the driver before he left. The second photo shows the Crispy Club we ordered, but the first photo is the same incorrect pizza they sent before. As soon as I opened it, I recognized that it was not the right one, since I had ordered it about 20 times before. In the end, I just laughed it off and accepted it, even though I felt guilty for not sending back the wrong order. I really wanted my Garlic Lovers Pizza. Before calling, I checked my order number and receipts to confirm that I had ordered correctly. Despite this experience, we will continue to order from Pizza Guys. Their pizza is generally good and beats other delivery options, even though the consistency can be hit or miss when ordering the same items repeatedly. Overall, I’m giving this experience 3 stars, though it has been edited down to 2 stars."

"I would have left '0 stars ' if I could have. I live right across street from the Davis Pizza Guys restaurant;it 's been a few months since I went in. I walked across the street and went in tonight to order a 'one topping special large ' pizza. I spokewith a girl behind the counter who spoke in a 'small voice ' and I asked her to please speak a little louder;for the record,I dohave good hearing. I asked her to make sure to put enough of the topping on my pizza because last time I ordered from them, thetopping was Very sparse. A woman working there named Catherine interjected in a Very Loud voice at me and yelled-out at me what 's the name on the order !! ;I had already given my name to the other 'small voice ' woman, who just stood there smilingwhile her and all her other co-workers kept staring at me while Catherine yelled the same question at me a few times.I wasshocked very insulted by Catherine 's yelling and didn 't answer right away.. A Very stressful experience which I will notrepeat again. I came back in a half hour later to pick-up the 'pizza ' which I ordered and asked them to open the box for me toinspect it. The thing I saw in the box didn 't even look like a pizza;not at all round;it was in some strange shape with verylittle topping on it.I missed taking a picture of it,but not sure it would load on this review screen. I mentioned this problemto the male employee who had opened and was holding the box open and he said oh,we 'll put a few more pieces on it and throw itback in the oven for you !! I 'm thinking 'Whatt?? !! ' ! I miss when Robert was the manager there;this new crew of employeeshave strange attitudes.. I hope they get the show Undercover Bosses to do a special on this Davis,CA. store;whether he caresor not is doubtful. I 'll never go in there again."

"Pizza Guys is an excellent spot to order pizza. I placed my order through Grubhub, and it took about 45 minutes for delivery, which is perfectly acceptable to me since I usually wait around 20 minutes for a Hot & Ready pizza. It seems like they make it fresh as you order, which I appreciate. I’ve tried several pizza places in Hayward, including Little Caesars, The Pizza Place, Pizza Hut, NY Pizza, and Papa John’s, but Pizza Guys truly exceeded my expectations for pizza in Northern California. I used to think that Southern California, especially San Diego, offered the best pizza on the West Coast, even from the franchises I mentioned. In SoCal, I found those chains to serve better pizza than what is available here. However, discovering Pizza Guys has shown me that you really have to explore different options until you find the spot that satisfies you, and for me, that place is Pizza Guys! I love their Hawaiian pizza, which is the only one I've tried so far, but I’m definitely planning to order again and try their other varieties. The dough is well-prepared; it doesn’t toughen up easily as it cools and has a delightful crisp and chewy texture. The toppings are plentiful and seem very fresh. The sauce is just right—not too thick, which I particularly dislike about many pizzas that tend to skimp on toppings. What I received from Pizza Guys was fantastic! The only downside to pizzas in Northern California, including Pizza Guys, is the price. My medium Hawaiian pizza cost $19.99. In Southern California, I could get similar pizzas for around $7 from Little Caesars and $11 from Papa John’s. I really think they need to consider lowering their prices a bit."

"We ordered pizza online not knowing they didn’t deliver to Sebastopol. The website someone how entered the wrong address. We called to report and the owner got on the phone because we asked for a refund. We spent $80. We do not make a lot of money and so now we do not get to eat dinner tonight. It was a special occasion to order. He told us that he ran out of the money he has set aside for refunds. Saying he’s a small business and that he can’t make money giving refunds. He lied saying he’d drive over to the wrong address and if the random people hadn’t eaten our food that he’d refund us. He refused to do this and give us photo evidence that he actually went there to check. He told us he couldn’t refund without checking first and it was because he lost all the profit from making the the food. We asked how getting the food back from whoever got it would save him any money since he can’t resell the food. He was telling us he’d resell food that had been sitting out or already entered an apartment. When we questioned him because this would be a health code violation he started getting angry saying he didn’t have to answer any of our questions. And said different restaurants have different policies on reselling food that has gone out. We were shocked and disgusted. I can’t believe I’ve been coming here for years not knowing I’ve been eating pizza other customers have already put their hands on."

"Last Friday, April 12th, I finished work at 8 PM and called to place an order for pick-up. I was put on hold and ended up arriving before I even received an answer—no big deal. When I walked in, a girl took my order, then she answered a phone call for another order, finished that, and then started making my pizzas. While working with the dough, she scratched the side of her face and continued handling the dough without washing her hands. After she finished adding the toppings, she rinsed her hands under water for about two seconds—no soap—before moving on to the next pizza. I was appalled by the lack of cleanliness. I then noticed another employee come in from the back on his cell phone. After hanging up, he wet his hands at the sink and dried them before starting on a pizza. The hygiene practices here are unacceptable! They really need to train their staff on proper food preparation protocols, particularly about washing hands with soap, especially since they aren’t using gloves. When I asked for a refund, the guy at the counter initially refused, saying the pizza was already made. I pointed out that I hadn’t received it yet, and then he questioned why. I explained the situation about the girl’s dirty hands, and she even laughed! Eventually, he offered me half off, but I insisted on a full refund. I will NOT be returning to this dirty and unprofessional establishment."
