"This outstanding restaurant is located in the Embassy Suites Hotel. You don’t stumble on Vintage Twelve, it’s inside a gated beach resort community. Thankfully, access to the restaurant is not complicated, stop at the guard house, tell them you’re going to Vintage Twelve for dinner, and they’ll give you a pass. We decide to try several different, well known, upscale area restaurants during the annual SC Restaurant Week; tonight it was Vintage Twelve. We unknowingly saved the best for last! There were two of us, we ordered off the Restaurant Week special menu. One of us had the roasted corn hush puppies, 6-ounce filet mignon with roasted corn relish, fried green tomatoes, and blackened cream reduction. The second diner had classic seafood chowder, 6-ounce pan seared grouper, spinach risotto, blistered tomatoes, and citrus bourbon butter. For dessert we both selected the warm skillet cookie with vanilla ice cream and bourbon caramel. From start to finish, the meal was fantastic, and we even had a table with a lovely ocean view! Our server, Jack, was friendly, attentive, and gregarious, while providing unobtrusive service. We couldn’t have been more pleased with this dining experience."
