"This place was such a disappointment. I ordered the Chesapeake crabcake sandwich that came with coleslaw and french fries. My guest ordered the fish and chips. The fish and chips were pretty good and the crab on my dish was really tasty as well. However, the bun, the lettuce and the tomato that accompanied the dish was just a little too large to go with such delicate crab meat. Another terrible thing about this place unfortunately, is the staff. We had a waitress that was really inattentive and rude. I ordered one beverage and on the menu it said that it had fresh lime juice in it. However, it did not have fresh lime juice. They put roses in it and they overdid it. I informed the waitress that I wasn 't impressed so I sent it back. I ordered another and they muddled the cherries in the bottom of the beverage, which is a big no-no. I also sent that one back. The waitress told us that they are a pooled-house which means waitresses and waiters are supposed to work together meaning that they all can help each table when individual guests need assistance. I think this was her way of saying, why don 't you talk to somebody else. One thing that also really makes this restaurant different than others is that when a customer is unsatisfied with a certain part of a meal or drinks, service or staff, the management should come over to the table and make sure that everything is OK and say, we would love to have you back again, and make sure that your experience is better than this one. So, please don 't allow this first visit to be a reflection upon the rest of our service and commitment to our guests. So I will say this, we will never come back here again."

"New mgmt company has ruined this place. No kids menus available to read, either in print or online, waitress had to check what was available for kids. My drink was so unbalanced with lemon juice it tasted like floor cleaner. We ordered kids food first burger, Mac n cheese, Caesar salad to come out as ready, and our apps things. Our apps came first. Tuna tataki tasted off, I can't believe my husband actually ate it, I think he did so only because he was so hungry. Potstickers were burnt, not golden, burnt on one side. Can't believe my kids ate them, but again, they were also hungry. Bruschetta was the special, tomatoes were underripe why offer it as a special if produce isn't ripe?. Not that it mattered, because there was soooo much garlic you couldn't taste anything else. Bread served with it was also completely black on one side. Not grilled totally black. Did not eat. And last we ordered the lobster crepe. Down right gross. Cold lobster salad, in a cold, crumbling wrap yes, it was rolled up like a deli wrap with a big blob of mayo on the plate. Inedible and gross. That was the last straw. If your drinks are bad and your food is bad, why bother staying? Asked for the check and to go boxes for the kids food, which still hadn't arrived, and left. Not once did the server or a manager do a quality check on us or ask if everything was OK. Paid our check in full and tipped the server, told the hostess on our way out about our disappointment, no attempt to get a manager or try to correct the situation. It was a very disappointing experience, and we don't see any reason to return if this is the direction their quality level and service are being since firing their chef and restaurant manager"

"What a find!! I'm always looking for new places to try for good food and unique experiences. Since we don't live in the area, we searched our map and decided to try the Willowtree Inn Restaurant. We were not disappointed! Everyone was so friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. The Baked Brie en Croute was out of this world! I had the grilled Russian sandwich. I opted to have double turky instead of turkey and ham. It was delicious, but it came with coleslaw, which I think is the restaurant's variation of coleslaw. The taste was okay, but it was very watery and thus was dripping out of my sandwich. Sloppy but tasty. Most of the dishes came with what they listed as potato. It was a scoop of smashed potatoes. Again, they had a good taste, but for lunch, I would have preferred more of a potato salad to compliment my sandwich. My daughter ordered the 601 burger. It looked yummy, and she gave it a big thumbs up. It was perfectly cooked and she said there was no gristle in the burger! Her dish also came with a side of potato and coleslaw. Their variation of coleslaw is heavy on the shredded carrots. Just our preference, but we would have liked a more traditional coleslaw. Finally, for dessert, we decided to share a piece of the Cassata Cake. Everything about this cake is perfect!! The pound cake and cannoli filling complemented each other without being dry or overly sweet! And that espresso fudge icing....well, let's just say I could have eaten the entire cake!! In this review, I want the reader to know that any critiques expressed here are mostly based on our preferences. Overall, we were delighted and very satisfied with our choice! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for delicious food, a peaceful and beautiful setting, and, of course, attentive friendly service! We definitely will be back!!"
