"I ordered two fresh lumpia, dinakdakan, and sago gulaman, which came to nearly $40. The sago gulaman was bitter, so I returned to the restaurant to speak with the manager, who I assumed was in uniform. Instead of addressing my concern, she asked if I had tried the gulaman before and mentioned that another customer hadn't complained about it. Rather than requesting a refund for the $5, or at least half of it, I decided to just let it go. Arguing over $5 didn’t seem worth my time. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue at some Filipino restaurants (I'm Filipino myself), where customers face difficulty when bringing up complaints about their food. I ended up losing $5, and Goldilocks gained $5. Very disappointing customer service!"
