"The delivery service is consistently slow. If they manage to get something delivered within an hour, that's considered a win. However, tonight it took an hour and twenty minutes. On top of that, they charge a $2.00 delivery fee for this so-called service. It’s not just about delivery, either. Recently, my wife called in for two subs and some potato skins half an hour before picking them up, only to wait an additional 25 minutes once she arrived. The food itself is typical pizza house fare—it's hit or miss. You can never count on having a great meal there; it's just enough to keep you from going hungry. The only reason we continue to order from this place is because the other options in the area aren’t much better."

"We ordered through DoorDash and paid extra for seasoning on the fries, but they didn't include it, nor did they put the extra sauce on the side. I ordered a baked potato, but it had very little cheese and was quite dry; part of the potato was even rotten. They placed it in the top part of the container with holes and covered it with the bottom, causing some moisture to leak out onto the other items. I was very disappointed."

"This establishment does not follow safe food handling practices. They do not wash their hands after touching money or their clothing, and then they continue to handle your food without wearing gloves. Wearing just one glove does not exempt them from proper food safety protocols. This lack of care can lead to cross-contamination and the risk of germs being transferred to your meal."

"I used a mobile browser to order 2 pizzas, the one that was exactly what I ordered was great. The second item should have been a specialty pie with 4 selected veggies on a white pizza when I went to pick it up they told me that I only ordered one pizza and the other item somehow turned into a stromboli. For the sake of time and energy I grabbed a stromboli from their freezer...don't get me wrong it was pretty good but it would have been awesome to get what I took the time to actually order. They need to look into this issue....as this was NOT user error it was a problem with their mobile ordering site"

"After some trouble, I managed to place my order. When I arrived 15 minutes later to pick it up, I saw her in the lobby angrily confronting someone for giving out her personal number, unaware that I was one of the customers she had been rude to. On top of that, when I tried to use my punch cards, which totaled the equivalent of two full cards, I was told they don’t combine them. While I have no complaints about the food itself, I can’t help but wonder why they would set up a location in a warehouse/office if they don’t want to accept takeout orders."

"I visited this restaurant today, usually I go to the one on Kennedy, but since this Hillsborough location is on my way home, I decided to give it a try. I ordered online for pickup and was pleasantly surprised to find that their empanadas are just as delicious as the ones at the Kennedy location. The restaurant seemed popular based on the number of people dining in, but I had no trouble picking up my order. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean and appeared new. I tried four different kinds of empanadas and they were all excellent. With Pipos just down the street, this has become one of my favorite spots on Hillsborough Ave for quick, delicious food."

"The first time I had the Cuban wow it was great the second time it was dry. This is the 3rd time I?ve had Mr. Empanada on Armenia and I hope the other locations are not the same. The salad with the chicken was really gross I could not eat it. The chicken was the same kind you can get at Walmart frozen/thawed in the bag and they just threw it on the salad. The apples were bad too. Maybe it?s cheaper this way but I couldn?t stomach it. The fries were soggy and had no salt."

"I typically don't write reviews, but I must say, the Mr. Empanada location I visited was outstanding. The food was delicious and the owner, a very sweet lady, was incredibly friendly. It was evident that she and her staff valued their customers' experience and took pride in their service."
