"I felt inclined to update my review. I initially had a bad experience and happened to return and the friendly lady at the drive thru remembered me acknowledged the previous incident. She apologized and assured me it was addressed by the owner. I thanked her and mentioned the tacos were too good for me not to return. As a customer I appreciate that fact that the issue was addressed so now I can continue to visit in the mornings."

"My family loved it. We will definitely come back. A few things I noticed, the salsa wasnt that great, definitely lacking flavor. There were flies trying to get on our food even though we were inside. The food itself was awesome. I would definitely recommend cleaning the place up and making it more presentable for guests. Then this place would be 5 stars."

"So we came here because some of my kids ran and shaved about it. I give only 4 stars, based on the fact that there is a casual street house and bar is not a beautiful dress for dinner restaurant. That's not a criticism at all, just a statement. We were very busy, so they sat at a little table in the bar. Our server Daniel was very nice and hard working. They brought their homemade roles that are amazing. I usually don't like honey butter, but her is really good. We also ordered the Tennessee Wraps, which are cream cheese and Jalapeño egg rolls with a sweet chilli sauce. Omg amazing. At this point we regret to order something else than we were full. My wife ordered the Petite Filet, I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. She said the fillet was a perfect medium, rare with a great sailor. The garlic potatoes were addicted. Also the pulled pork sandwich was great. I just wanted to eat half, but... anyway, big gem in Salem for a casual night out. Excellent food great service. I love it!"

"We visited this restaurant for the first time today while looking for a lunch spot between jobs, and we're so glad we did! The food was fantastic, and the portion sizes were enormous. My husband chose the two slices special with pepper sauce and a soda, while I opted for the spaghetti lunch special, which offered the choice of meatballs, sausage, or meat sauce. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and we spent less than $20 for both of us. We will definitely be returning!"

"I had Chicken Tortilla Soup, which was the thickest stew I've ever encountered, and the cornbread was the worst—hard, dry, and lacking flavor. There was definitely something off about it; it looked old in the picture I took. Additionally, there was no washed silverware available, so we had to use cheap plastic utensils to tackle our meals, including the Chicken Fried Steak. We also waited over 20 minutes for potato soup that was supposed to accompany one of the Chicken Fried Steak dinners. The best thing we had was the fries. This restaurant seems to be run by inexperienced staff, and it shows—there were no adults in sight from the kitchen to the servers and register. After spending $175 (including tip), it’s safe to say we won’t be returning!"

"I was looking for a quick bite to eat before taking a friend to the airport, and this restaurant turned out to be just right. "Absolutely amazing! Dave and his team were truly exceptional! We recently experienced a loss and organized a celebration of life. Although providing food for our guests was important, it was the last thing on our minds. I spoke with Dave once about our ideas for the menu and the expected number of attendees. His first response was, “I’m so sorry for your loss.” He then reassured us that we wouldn't have to worry about a thing. He personally delivered and set everything up with his staff, ensuring we had exactly what we needed. The food was fantastic, and there was more than enough for everyone. I made sure to tell all the guests where the food came from. But beyond the delicious meals we already knew they offered, it was the genuine condolences and compassion that really stood out. "Great affordable family restaurant, with typical American style food. There is a healthy amount of Mexican-American food mixed in, but not so much that this would be considered a 'Mexican Restaurant ' per se. I purchased the tilapia, which came baked. Itwas cooked well, so it was light and flakey. I asked for double vegetables rather than have extra carbs. The vegetables were notbad, but nothing special. A bit over-steamed and watery, most likely from frozen not fresh vegetables. My son purchased hisfavorite, spaghetti and meatballs. The portion size was enough to fill his teenage apatite and have a little left over. My wifehad a salad, which she enjoyed. It was not oversized, but large enough for a meal without left overs. We declined desert. Thestaff were friendly, attentive without being troublesome, and did their best to make the dining experience enjoyable. Lugo 's hasgrown to become a local favorite for good reason, and I recommend giving them a try."

"The salsa was bland and lacked any texture. The Skinny Margarita was far too sweet; after two tries, it went from overly sugary to just ridiculous. The bar staff really needs some training—if they had focused on perfecting just a few quality margaritas, they could have achieved a much better flavor balance. The white cheese dip was too runny and had no chili or texture; it was even thinner than paint. While it tasted okay, my son couldn't finish his hamburger because the bun was soggy and unappealing. We've had enjoyable experiences here in the past, but this time was disappointing. I hope my feedback is helpful to the small business owners, but sadly, we won't be coming back. It's a shame because it didn't live up to expectations."

"Visited June 21, 2023. First time visiting. Decor and interior is reminiscent of an old school lounge dark, and a lot of old but cool decor. My waitress was quick and attentive. I ordered a lunch special, Burger Basket. It came with fries, and the burger had all the fixings. I 'll admit, it was a really good burger. It was charred and tasted like it was cooked over an open flame. Think of a Whopper, but actually really good. Fries were not the best, but still okay.
