"Just Ok. So, not worth the price in my opinion. For the price and online build up as a fine dining experience, I expected a bit more. Yes, there were some highlights, and some low lights, in the end resulting in a mediocre experience. First, thepositives. Service friendliness and attentiveness was good. The soups and salads were good, in fact, the wedge salad wasexcellent. The side of steamed vegetables was cooked perfectly. Now, the ?just ok? items. The chicken fried steak wasaverage. The second basket of rolls (more about the first basket later) was ok, too. Two of the three sirloin steaks were ofaverage quality, but not as tender or flavorful as similar (and a lot less expensive) sirloin steaks at Texas Road House. Theside of steak fries was warm, but nothing special. And, the three layer chocolate cake, while it was clearly of thestore bought variety, was decent. Finally, to the areas for improvement. The first set of rolls, which were touted as?rightout of the oven,? were lukewarm and burnt on the bottom. The server did bring out a second set later on. My steak, ordered aupoivre, did not come au poivre. I alerted the server, who brought out a dish of peppercorns and a separate dish of cream saucefor me to make the au poivre myself. However, I?m glad I did have the au poivre, because without it, my steak would have beeninedible. It was so tough and filled with gristles that I had to cut it into tiny pieces and drown it in the sauce to eat it. For the server, who was very friendly and attentive, there were a few mistakes that I?m sure will be sharpened with experience. For example, he never took our drink order. He hastily filled our water glasses at the beginning, but didn?t offer any otherdrinks. The second basket of rolls was returned with our original half consumed dish of whipped butter since it was takenback to the kitchen for the refill of rolls, the butter dish should have been refilled and returned full. "I love this place. It has so much potential. The service is excellent and I can't say enough about the excellent server assigned to our table. I was hoping for a menu that would extend a little more into a dinner menu rather than a salad or pizza or burger menu. But, I can live with that. Now the big issue was getting our order moving and getting it straight. Our server did everything she could to keep us happy. I noticed the board game recommendations on the menu and had a nice chuckle. But after waiting so long for our order to be served, a game of Monopoly wasn't that bad of an idea. There were 4 in our party and we did make prior reservations. 3 of us had salads and the 4th ordered a wrap sandwich with onion rings. 2 of the salads were the Southwest Chicken Salads, but the cook never included the chicken. The salads were served within ample time but the wrap and onion rings were no where to be seen. We started in on the salads and noticed the absence of the chicken. Our server apologized and took off to the kitchen. I could tell she was embarrassed by the mix up and she corrected the error. Still no wrap and onion rings. We almost completed our salad dinners and the wrap and onion rings were finally served. Our server apologized repeatedly and management authorized 50% off the bill. (A visit from the manager would have been nice. I think your menu price meals are a little on the high side, but we will return and hope for a little better experience."

"The list of positives is short, so I 'll do it first the food served was quailty and we didn 't have to wait for a table on a Friday evening. The list of negatives is longer. 54th has removed so many items from the menu that figuring out what to order is a chore. I ordered an El Perfecto margarita and after discussing choices of tequila with the server, I finally just opted for house tequila. I was still charged an extra dollar for this!! It was also not mixed and had visible layers of sweet and sour mix and liquor in the glass. The El Perfecto also used to be served in a shaker container with a martini glass, and this wasn 't. The server didn 't know what I was talking about when I tried to tell him that it wasn 't the drink I was expecting. We ordered hot wings, and it came with a container of ranch that was approx. 2 ounces. We immediately ordered another ranch, and then sat there waiting for it for nearly 10 minutes, while the wings got cold and the children (who won 't eat hot wings without it) complained that they were hungry. The extra ranch came on top of our dinner order and no one likes to eat their appetizer with their dinner. 2 of my party had ordered iced tea and had to ask, and then also wait for, sweeteners. Our meals were good, as stated. But, when the bills arrived hoo boy!! No where was it posted that parties of 4 or more, which is NOT a large group, would automatically be charged 15% gratuity. To make this issue worse, it was broken up into 2 separate charges on the bill: gratuity and service fee, which was very confusing. After we left, we tried to call the 800 , which directed us to first call the store we had eat at, and when we did, no one answered. Luckily for us and not for them, 2 people in my group happen to be class action attorneys and are currently researching this."
