"I don 't think this place has been remodeled since it was opened in the 1950 's and I LOVE it. Unpretentious, cozy, old feeling (not cutesy retro .Our burgers were nothing fancy, but a solid lunch which we both enjoyed and the home made root beer was great. The fries were limp and un-seasoned and the side of chili was a teeny ketchup cup with what I suspect was canned chili. We got to listen to old timers at the booths talking about the history of the neighborhood, which I was really interested in.Altogether the service was perfect, the atmosphere was exactly what I want in an old school diner and the food was acceptable. They are a bit pricey for what they serve, but with inflation these days I don 't know what a fair price is for things anymore.Definitely recommend if you want an authentic, local diner experience."
