"Was told this was the best steakhouse in Alton Illinois. So we gave it a shot. Children got a kids cheese pizza, and for $6 each the quantity and quality was pretty good, 5/5. Wife and grandmother got the shrimp scampi, both said it was kinda bland, but itis just a garlic butter sauce so I can see that. Shrimp was kinda light for the shrimp to pasta ratio, but enough pasta for twothat was for sure, 4/5. I had the 6oz pepper loin with loaded baked tater. Potato was great in size, pepper loin might of been alight 6oz but plenty in flavor. Ordered a med got med well. Now the reason for the only 4stars. Noticed on ticket, we were upcharged for things that were supposed to be included like strawberry vinaigrette, $4upcharge but was supposed to be included.And a 2.75% credit card fee. Kinda odd. I run my own business and don’t have to charge cc fees to cover just odd. Especiallywith no notice. Atmosphere is nice, but after 6pm seems to get rather loud, couldn’t hear the person two seats to my leftwithout them yelling. Overall, wed give it another go, just withdraw cash first."

"First of all, the house dressing? Absolutely AMAZING. I have been dining here for over 10 years and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. However, I’m writing this review to highlight how well they managed my partner’s food allergy. We often encounter issues when ordering since he has a milk allergy (not just lactose intolerance), and usually, about 70% of the time, our meals still include milk or cheese. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the woman’s name, but she was incredibly knowledgeable about the ingredients and took great care to double-check with the cook about what was in our order when we picked it up. "I ordered two large pizzas from Aroma, and it took an hour and 15 minutes for them to be delivered to my home. After waiting for an hour, I called to inquire about my order, and the person I spoke with was extremely rude, telling me that I couldn’t cancel my order. When the pizza finally arrived, it was ice cold. In today's economy, customer service should be a top priority, which is clearly not the case with Aroma. I strongly advise against ordering pizza from this place, especially given the many other options available."

"The woman at the front register really needs to improve her attitude. In the past, I was always greeted with respect and appreciation when I visited, but now I’m met with a rude demeanor and even yelled at. I’ve been a loyal customer since 2017, frequently spending hundreds of dollars because my family enjoys the food so much. There are countless other kabob places along the street that offer cheaper prices, but I chose to support Salam and its owner. Unfortunately, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere solely due to the unpleasant experience caused by this employee. Someone should help her learn how to communicate with customers better."

"The food was amazing and our waitress spot on. The only issue I had was having a table for two in the middle of the back room. It made the experience less than ideal and with tonight being a busy one there was a lot of shuffling. Also the conversational noise in the back room was higher than I would have liked for a date. "Not sure why this place is not full when we go here? The food is excellent and authentic. The service is fantastic. The portions are large. And the drinks are also great. Maybe because our family likes Greek food more than others. We had brunch there on Sunday and we got the Champagne package, 3 different type of juices and fresh fruit for the glasses. We'll be back soon!!"

"This restaurant is truly unacceptable and deserves to be closed down by health authorities. I witnessed the cook drop a steak on the floor and then place it directly onto the grill. The staff seemed quite incompetent, and the delivery driver was tall, thin, and oddly dressed, giving off a strong odor of alcohol as he walked by our table. It was a complete disaster. Without a doubt, this is the most disturbing dining experience I've ever had. The staff was not only unprofessional, but the food was also horrible."

"I was looking for a vegan restaurant in the area but there was nothing anywhere! None of the restaurants even mentioned having vegan food. Our usual go-tos in instances like this, Sushi places for vegetable sushi, had no seating. I am so happy I stumbled upon Sweet Basil's which at one time came up on my search engine but the second time was nowhere to be found. Luckily, my friend reminded me I had suggested it. This restaurant is great because they list a separate dedicated vegan/veg menu on their website. They do not print the menus but they said they will customize anything on the menu that they can. My husband had the lentil soup which was vegan and the artichoke risotto minus the cream to make it vegan. He liked both dishes very much. I had the vegan tacos. They were awesome! The veggies were so fresh and the ailio is made with vegan mayo. The avocado was perfect and generous. The staff was polite, knowledgeable and conscientious of COVID precautions. The cost of the food was very fair! Will definitely be back when I am in the area again."

"Pretty solid diner food. I had this talaria dish with pineapple and coconut that was on the specials menu that was very good. There were lots of sides to go around with our meals, from curly fries and sweet potato fries to butter corn and house salad. Most of us took some food home in a box, so while it was slightly expensive for a diner, we got our money's worth."

"Disaster of a place. Would rather dig in the dumpster and fight with rats than ever step foot in here again. From the moment we sat down it was a horrible experience. Waiter apparently forgot to put in our order. Then told us much later they didn't even have most of what we did order. Their excuse was they had a ton of takeout. Drove here because its the closest persian place but complete let down. I've eaten here before and the food is hit or miss, never having good apps and entrees but today was just a sad experience. It's in a rundown plaza and completely empty inside. We literally were the only table. Will never be back and would not recommend to anyone."

"Order 2 veggie delights. Took over a half hour to get my food. The only thing being cooked was falafel which take like 3 minutes why did this take so long? They left a piece of paper in our salad too. Then lied about leaving a paper in the food. They also served multiple people who ordered after me, one of which got a falafel wrap. I don’t understand how people who ordered after me received their order before me with similar content got it first."

"THIS WAS A 5 place a 1.5 Yrs ago! My GO TO FOR EVERYTHING!!! Now since there’s been NEW OWNERS it’s TERRIBLE!! The straw that broke my back was when I ordered my go2 chicken cutlet calzone, I ordered it as usual, was eating it as I felt a hair in my mouth, I went to pull it PRAYING it was just mozzarella cheese, but no, a long blondish hair came out still attached to the chess and chicken I was chewing, THE HAIR WAS BAKED INTO THE CALZONE! It didn’t just fall on-top, it was in there!?? I also have short brown hair, Like VERY SHORT. When I called flipping out and asking WHY THE COOK DOESNT WEAR A HAIR NET, they put me on hold for 3-5 minutes then the owner picked up and said “Sorry sir, but we take all the necessary health code precautions here” that’s when I said “ LISTEN UP, I have a 8 inch long medium BLONDE hair in my hand right now, SO IF YOU HAVE A PERSON MAKING CALZONES WITH THE SAME HAIR, YOU BETTER APOLOGIZE AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY OR ILL HIRE THE BEST LAWYER ALIVE, Give him this hair to run a DNA TEST ON AND IF THIS PERSON EVER WORKED FOR YOU, I WILL OWN YOUR RESTAURANT! To which he pauses, then apologized and asked if I wanted a new calzone or money back? I said I want my money back and they can come get the calzone, minus the hair.They did not come but I got a refund a month later when I filed the complaint with my card.Had this man just apologized at first, I’d have been ok with it, Not order ever again but I can understand an employee not doing what they’re supposed to. But trying to turn it around on me when I told him the hair color and length, that I got me very upset! Especially with their price increase and charging for every little thing, EVEN MUSTARD ON MY PASTRAMI ONCE!! SMH. DONT BUY FROM THIS LONDIS, Idk about the rest!"

"Nice place, little overpriced. Ambience: great Food: better Service: Self service Parking: can be a challenge, I got it quickly. Staff: friendly and nice With a little overpriced menu, I wasn’t disappointed at all. Food was tasty. You have a huge display of menu, pick what you want and then grab a tray and go straight to the server. Tell them what you want and they will make the plate right in front of you. And you also get to pick breads and desserts as you walk up to check out. They have Android Pay, no Apple Pay. Will try them again for dinner and see how it goes."
