"We had a great dining experience at this restaurant. Our party consisted of five adults and a small child. Our drink orders were taken promptly, and we were quickly served salsa and chips. The menu offered a good variety, and we ended up ordering quite a few dishes. Since it was lunchtime, I opted for the Speedy Gonzales, which came with one taco, one enchilada, and refried beans. It was delicious! Our drinks were refilled just in time, well before they ran out. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the prices were reasonable. "Today was our second visit. It took a while to be seated, and we were not actually seated, a waitress motioned from the desk which booth we should sit at. She then brought menus and napkins, we ordered an appetizer then. We waited 40 minutes before she ever came back to take our order. Order was taken when she brought the app. We had no plates for the appetizer. It took another 40 minutes to get our food, which a different waitress brought. My stuffed shells were supposed to come with a salad, I never got that. The waitress came back and asked if we needed boxes...we had had our food for approximately 3 minutes.....I told her we really didnt know if we needed a box since we just started eating. The food is very good, which is unfortunate given the service is absolutely terrible. This waitress has clearly had absolutely NO training. Only one person can run the cash register, and again another wait for this, our ticket was never brought to the table. Were just exhausted and done by the time we left. It should not take nearly 2 hours to get lunch. No one asked how our experience was upon checking out....pack a snack if you plan to try this place....dont go hungry. Upside, the calzone is excellent..."

My husband thoroughly enjoyed the fried oyster sandwich, mentioning that it wasn’t too heavy. I opted for the red, white, and blue pancakes instead of waffles, which were so generous that I had leftovers for days. I also ordered a side of home fries and macaroni salad for us to share, both of which were delicious. We even decided to buy more macaroni salad from a nearby store to take home. The cranberry juice was standard, but my husband felt that his hot chocolate, while topped with mini marshmallows and whipped cream, wasn’t worth the price. One note: if you’re seated during a busy time, make sure to check that the booth seats have been wiped down, as ours had quite a few crumbs—nothing terrible, but worth mentioning."

"We ordered the Golden Tofu, which was completely devoid of seasoning. Tofu is known for being bland, but somehow they managed to make it even more flavorless. The only way to eat it was with Sriracha and a dip in the peanut sauce. The Panang Curry was just vegetables floating in watered-down sauce. While it looked appealing, it was so runny that we couldn't even enjoy it with rice. There was no serving spoon provided, so we had to use a tiny spoon, making it awkward to eat. The vegetable pieces were too large to consume as soup, and the portion of rice was disappointingly small. The Pad Thai was the only dish that was somewhat acceptable. I requested it to be spicy (level 3), but it arrived mild. After adding Sriracha, it was decent, but still not impressive—just edible, not something that would make you want to lick the plate clean. The service was lacking as well. The hostess was absent, and no one checked in on us during our meal. After waiting ten minutes for water, we gave up since it was clear no one was coming to help. Even though they might have been busy inside, it would have been nice to have a water jug available for self-service. At the end, we had to wait at the counter for a few minutes before anyone even acknowledged our presence to settle the bill. Overall, if you have another dining option, I recommend going there instead. I don’t think I’ll be returning."

"This is a great spot for a quick casual meal. While my favorite Mickey's is the one in Harlem, this location is the best outside of it. I usually go for the Big Mickey Burger or the Gyro Plate, both of which offer generous portion sizes. They also have a convenient drive-thru window for placing your order. The fries come in large portions, so you won’t need to get a big size; a regular is more than sufficient and they’re not lacking in quality."

"I will never spend my money at Geyer Sources again. The customer service was absolutely terrible. I waited for 26 minutes, and while I was paused for a moment, I had a feeling I should just leave since I wasn't too far away. I decided to stick around to see if they would return my call, so I kept waiting for my order. Finally, someone answered but then hung up on me. I asked the girl at the window why they keep hanging up on their customers after making them wait for nearly 30 minutes. She apologized and said she was busy, even though there were only three other people. When I inquired about a question, she said they hadn’t placed my order anywhere, but I could come back tomorrow to speak with the manager. I’m sorry this happened, but honestly, I’m not sure if I’ll even bother to go back tomorrow."

"Stayed the night in Mt. Pleasant, IA after a very long day of driving. Got up the next morning and, not knowing the town, resorted to searching on the internet for a place to go. Found this place. Now called Rome Lunch Box, but with the same menu as Mama's Back Porch. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner selections. We had breakfast. Mom and I got 2 slices French toast and two eggs, plus I got a side of bacon. Dad got 2 eggs and one pancake he was going to order two, but the server warned him they're big and they are, filling the whole plate! Food took awhile, due to a mixup in the kitchen, but when it came out, it was hot and perfectly made. Mom and I split the bacon, which was really good. And, we were both pleasantly surprised to find the French toast is made the old fashioned way no cinnamon in the batter. We're not fans of cinnamon in that application, and were glad they leave it out. Nice gentleman named Scott was our server. Mom's coffee was hot, the sweet tea was made right, Dad's OJ was good. This place was a great find, and filled with locals. So glad we found it for our meal stop before our day of driving."

"Okay. I have read so many bad reviews about this place, I just had to try. I bet on the street, most people do not even know that the restaurant is there. I came in on a Thursday night at 18 o'clock. there were only a few customers at the place, while the country is on the road we have packed. with not so many customers the place, the service was prompt and friendly. I ordered a mini chimi dinner with chicken, garnel and bark. presentation was good, taste was good, and the price was reasonable. I didn't care about her icy. they claim it was brewed, but after 4m miles trip, it did not pass the taste test. the chips were also a bit toasty. not as bad as many reviewers have indicated. it is also not a 5-star place, but if you want something that is quite enough to listen to your dinner companion who will not break the budget. this place works."
