"had a nice dinner at Davio's on a busy Saturday night with my wife. we had reservations and upon arrival it was a hoping place. We were seated about 15 minutes after our reserved time but that was because it was a bit backed up. We were seated near the bar in a roomy booth. We were immediately approached with water, pop-overs and a drink order. I would guess that it was about as a busy as it could get....a Saturday night leading up to the Holidays will do that...for sure. We were not sure what we wanted to do....should we order a few appitizers and share those or should we get a main dish. Everything that was passing the table looked great....we sat and chatted before deciding to get a main dish each. I ordered the 8 oz filet, cooked medium well, with some mashed potatoes. My wife ordered an Asian salad with avacado, peanuts, carrots, noodles, which they told her was big enough for two. As we ordered, our drinks were refilled and table cleaned up a bit from the crumbs and empty glasses. Upon receiving the food, I was a bit worried that we didnt order enough food. The 8 oz seemed small and I was thinking that maybe I should have ordered some asparagus or brocolli to go along with the potatoes. I was wrong, what I ordered was perfect. The steak was cooked perfect and was soo good! My wife's asian salad a a perfect size for her, as well. She was thrilled with the size and the taste. After finishing dinner, we were asked about dessert but neither one of us were interested. We were approached by a Manager, who asked how everything was and if the service was up to par. We answered in the affirmative. We were both thrilled with how the entire experience was. i gave 5 stars because what we received for service and food was what we expected. Excellence!....we will be back, for sure, in the late winter/early spring for another great night out! Something to consider: Parking is great! No hassle trying to find a spot....which is always something that I take into consideration. I love the Seaport and eating in the North End, but the parking is something that you need to start thinking about 30 minutes before you even arrive in town!"
