"My husband and I recently dined at this restaurant, formerly known as Badeaux's. I ordered the sample plate, which included Seafood Monica topped with shrimp. While I enjoyed the shrimp, I found the sauce to be a bit bland. The red beans and rice were tasty, but I wished there were more sausage in the dish. The flavor was well-balanced with a hint of spice. The crawfish etouffee and rice had small tails, but there were enough in the dish. The gravy was rich and had a nice level of heat. The piece of French bread was not to my liking. The cashier was friendly and efficient. However, finding a clean seat was a challenge as the floor was dirty with ketchup and food from the trash can. Many of the table booths were greasy, but we managed to find a relatively clean one near the bathroom hallway. The decor, featuring pictures of old trucks and cars, was a nice touch. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, especially with the addition of chopped parsley, despite not enjoying the pasta. My husband had a fried shrimp po-boy and thought it was pretty good."
