"Worst Chinese food I ever ate. Ordered 100$ worth of food for family and guests and was disappointed beyond words. General Tsao’s Chicken and Sesame Chicken were impossible to chew. Seemed like they were cooked on Monday and refried 5 days later on Friday. Ordered Yellow Tail and Spicy Salmon rolls that were unrecognizable. I have never given a bad review, ever, for a restaurant, but this is a warning for perspective customers and an admonition to the owners to do better. Not many Chinese restaurants deliver in Yorktown and none make Chinese food like Paul Ma’s, the Imperial Wok or the Empire Hunan, all that closed many years ago. There is a big opportunity for good Chinese food here in Yorktown Heights. Okinawa Sushi and Hibatchi needs to up its game. ??"

"I go to habachi and it is AMAZING!!! SERIOUSLY THE BEST????????. I highly recommend habachi. You can go for you b day and you will get your picture and they will hang it up on the wall. Whenever I go I see my picture from my birthday. You can sit at agrill table and the chefs can cook in front of you! The chefs are always very nice! They do cool tricks in front of you. Ihighly recommend habachi! It is SSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOO GGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOODDDDD!!!!!!!! P.s. try the Noodles! They are dilesh!!"

"Vegans, rejoice! The vegan buffet happens twice a month, and it is amazing. There are multiple options: curries, stir fries, soups, salads and dessert. The buffet is heavy on the mock meats, which I personally enjoy. I had no idea about this place until my mom told me about it. I'm from Austin and we don't have anything like this! "many vegan options, our waiter was very helpful and worth knowing what to order. I asked about the yellow curry, and he immediately warned me that this cannot be made vegan, as it uses fish as taster. So, I ordered the red curry with sweet and tofu and my mother ordered the green curry with sweet and tofu, both of which are safe vegan. the flavors/spikes were so delicious, the tofu was great, and the sweet were great. I loved everything about the red curry. the green curry was also good, but I liked my order better. also the ambiente of the restaurant is very quiet, relaxing, and the restaurant seems clean and well maintained."

"Pros: The food was really good and came out quickly. The wanton wrappers on the vegetarian dumplings were fresh and steamed perfectly. My friends also enjoyed their meal.Cons: The server, Paul, made me and my table really uncomfortable by how hard he tried to push me to drink. I am over a year sober. Although he did so under the guise of joking, he was really aggressive in his approach and attempted to shame and humiliate me. I really didn 't appreciate it. My guests asked me if they should say something. I tried to ignore him but most of the time when he came to the table, he made some comment about it. After the first 3 times of trying to pressure me to order a drink, I told him I was sober but that did not stop him. It was disrespectful. If he wanted to upsell me, he could have offered a mocktail or a non-alcoholic beverage and I might have considered it. I felt really uncomfortable and suggest anyone who is sober or dining with someone sober not to come here."

"I decided to try this restaurant because they were one of the few places nearby that offered Honey Walnut Shrimp on their menu. I placed my order online through their website and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the food arrived on a Friday night! From the first bite, I knew that this was some of the best Asian food I had ever tasted and definitely one of the top 5 meals I have ever had. The honey glaze, fried shrimp, walnuts, and vegetable fried rice all combined to create a delicious explosion of flavors. I absolutely loved the Honey Walnut Shrimp and will definitely be returning. While it was a bit pricey, it was worth every penny to me."

"We ordered Pad Thai for dinner tonight. When we went to pick it up we received the wrong order and did not realize until we got home. We immediately came back and explained they handed us the wrong order so we paid for the wrong order. They told us they had no way to refund us and their wifi was down, at this point an hour has gone by and we see our food sitting there getting cold. They wouldn’t refund us, they wouldn’t take the wrong order back (which I couldn’t eat anyways being 8 months pregnant) and they wouldn’t let us take the food we did see that belonged to us. While my husband was expressing his frustration with the situation the manager kept telling him to “be quiet”, stop talking”, “he has no idea what food we’re talking about” and threw his hands in my husbands face. HORRIBLE SERVICE"

"This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Impeccable service, which is hard to find lately. The food is delicious and the chef goes out of his way to accommodate special dietary needs! I eat a plant-based diet so I ordered a vegetable sushi roll and a noodle dish with tofu, no egg. I also ordered a curry, to take home to my son. The chef took the time to come to the table to ask me if I'm vegan because many of their sauces have fish sauce as an ingredient. I didn't think of this, so I was grateful to the chef to personally come talk to me about the menu, then make my meals without fish sauce. He also brought me spring rolls instead of the typical soup and salad that's usually presented with sushi, because they had animal products in them and he could make the spring rolls vegan. The meals were reasonably priced, more than fair in today's economy. Vegetarian options: Mention you're vegan or vegetarian and they'll accommodate."

"I picked Rice Sushi and Bistro because my wife and I had lunch there several times. Our friends joined us for a great evening of dinner and conversation. I like the restaurant because they very much cater to my gluten free needs. Items that can be made gluten free are clearly marked on the menu. As GF people will know, in some places it will be salad and maybe one or two entrees, but not here. They have a lot of options and even come with the GF soy sauce to ensure that you have a great meal. All four of us ordered something different and shared the entrees in so far as possible. In spite of the large serving sizes, we managed to leave with 4 clean plates. We all commented that this will be a place that we would return for another meal."

"Walked in and was set at a very small table and right next to us a rude woman let her daughter run a video player at full blast with TikTok videos. We got up and left and went to Sweet Thai Basil... Their service, food, and atmosphere was way better. In my opinion they should have informed the guest that there are no video players allowed without headphones I mean come on, it's common sense. They don't allow you to do that in a gym or in an airplane and why is that, because you're in close proximity to other guests and you're being rude."

"Shady, shady, New Star! So long story, less long, 18% service charge applied to party of 3, didn't catch it so they got a $36 service fee/gratuity. I always appreciate when places pay you the courtesy of informing you that they plan to add a service charge. In this case they did not. It was not posted anywhere that I noticed. Plus I think it's intentional the way the itemized receipt is attached to the restaurants copy , you are less inclined to take it with you and really review. I mean we had a drink on our tab so the total seemed right ??‍??‍. Shame on us for trusting but not verifying. Anyway, I always tip in cash because as a previous service worker I appreciated the generous cash tips moreso than tips on cards. So I paid the tab signed the receipt and then I placed $25 gratuity in the billfold. I think $25 on a $65 tab is GREAT! Left New Star and sat in my car reconciling my and that's when I noticed that 18% service charge. Anyway, for this reason and because my stomach was a little upset after dining, I probably won't go back. I hope New Star takes this note and posts for the people."

"Are you tired of going to Thai places and being limited to a single fried rice dish or a dubiously “vegan” curry? Do you long to find a place that can offer convincing versions of the non-vegan classics like tom kha or green papaya salad? Then get over to Peanut Sauce, stat! The last several pages of their menu is dedicated to their myriad vegetarian options (virtually all of which are vegan or can be made vegan by ordering without egg). It’s basically a reiteration of the non-veg portion of their menu. Fried and fresh spring rolls; lots of fragrant curries; pages of stir-frys, noodle dishes and fried rice; and the most delicious tom kha you will ever eat in your life. This place is so good! "I came here last night one hour before they closed and luckily they were able to serve us. Overall had an outstanding experience, food was very well done and service was really good! Was very impressed with the menu selection, it was very hard for me to make a decision on what I wanted to eat. Since this was my first time here I decided to go with something simple I ordered crab ragoons and calamari for appetizers. I ordered general Tao chicken with shrimp fried rice and my partner had mango chicken with white rice. The food was very flavorful and I can see the inspiration for all the different types of cuisine they offered. I’ll definitely be back to try more, I didn’t order dessert but there selection looked very promising."

"I love Thai Winchester! My husband and I visit Thai Winchester nearly every week. 1. The restaurant is clean and cozy, and the servers are kind and helpful. 2. If you go for lunch on a week day, you get a fried veggie crispy roll and a small side salad. I don't think the dressing on the salad is vegan (it looks cream-based), though, but I'm not sure. (I've been there for lunch on a week day only once 3. As far as appetizers go, I've had the fried tofu (it's nothing special it's exactly what it says: fried tofu), summer rolls (good if you love basil and my go-to appetizer, veggie crispy rolls. The rolls are the small, super crispy kind. I love them! 4. I've had most of the vegetarian entrees: LOVE: -cashew nuts LIKE: -kra pow -stir-fried ginger -red curry -green curry -panang curry -pad thai (good, but only if you like a very sweet pad thai) -thai fried rice (I've had this twice. It was amazingly flavorful the first time, but bland the second time) DISLIKE: -pad phed pha (this is a dish with peppercorns, and the peppercorns really take over. Order only if you LOVE peppercorns, because that's all you'll be able to taste) -massaman curry (but that could just be because I'm not into yellow curry I've never had this dish anywhere else This is my favorite restaurant in Winchester, and if you haven't already, I encourage you to visit! NOTE: We've also visited Thai Winchester II (only once), and we did not enjoy it enough to return. The restaurant is smaller and the food wasn't as good. I'd rather make the short drive to the walking mall rather than visit Thai Win II again. It may have just been a bad day for them, though."
