"Just Ok. So, not worth the price in my opinion. For the price and online build up as a fine dining experience, I expected a bit more. Yes, there were some highlights, and some low lights, in the end resulting in a mediocre experience. First, thepositives. Service friendliness and attentiveness was good. The soups and salads were good, in fact, the wedge salad wasexcellent. The side of steamed vegetables was cooked perfectly. Now, the ?just ok? items. The chicken fried steak wasaverage. The second basket of rolls (more about the first basket later) was ok, too. Two of the three sirloin steaks were ofaverage quality, but not as tender or flavorful as similar (and a lot less expensive) sirloin steaks at Texas Road House. Theside of steak fries was warm, but nothing special. And, the three layer chocolate cake, while it was clearly of thestore bought variety, was decent. Finally, to the areas for improvement. The first set of rolls, which were touted as?rightout of the oven,? were lukewarm and burnt on the bottom. The server did bring out a second set later on. My steak, ordered aupoivre, did not come au poivre. I alerted the server, who brought out a dish of peppercorns and a separate dish of cream saucefor me to make the au poivre myself. However, I?m glad I did have the au poivre, because without it, my steak would have beeninedible. It was so tough and filled with gristles that I had to cut it into tiny pieces and drown it in the sauce to eat it. For the server, who was very friendly and attentive, there were a few mistakes that I?m sure will be sharpened with experience. For example, he never took our drink order. He hastily filled our water glasses at the beginning, but didn?t offer any otherdrinks. The second basket of rolls was returned with our original half consumed dish of whipped butter since it was takenback to the kitchen for the refill of rolls, the butter dish should have been refilled and returned full. "Updated review 12/11/23 I was so excited to see this restaurant on Groupon, I wanted to give them another try because the food was absolutely delish the first time around. Arrived on a Wednesday around 630pm, they had quite the crowd, didn’t wait long maybe 5 mins to get seated. I read on their menu the turkey burger was bussin and my friend had the fish and chips last time, so I already knew ahead of time what we would be ordering. The service was a bit slow, kinda friendly (so so) Both the meals came out at the same time and I was so disappointed that the fries were ice cold, I sent them back right away and she didn’t make new ones instead they just dipped them back in the fryer to get them warm. The fries were terrible, fish and chips over breaded and fried too long it was dark (I always take pictures and because we were in the moment, I didn’t get any) Nonetheless, the burger was ok, the Texas chili was good but overall, I am a bit disappointed in this place….. 05/24/23 Black Horse Tavern and Grill is definitely where the locals dine! If you are in the area, check them out! Its in an unlikely location but IKYK. They offer daily specials and happy hour! Got the Prime rib sando with fries, HH Caesar salad, HH Buffalo Cauliflower, HH Potato Skins and Fish and Chips! Everything came out hot and delish except the au jus that came with the prime rib was a bit too salty, way too much base but overall, the food and customer service was great! I would definitely recommend coming here!"

"We gave Pallas a try since it is under new management. Unfortunately nothing much has changed. There was only one server this is obviously not the job for her. I ordered the fish fry. She didn't ask me if I wanted soup or salad so I asked her about it. She said she didn't think it came with it so I showed her the menu which stated that all specials came with soup or salad except wraps. She said, oh well, I'll give it to you (as if she was doing me a favor). The food took a long time to come. We flagged her down asked if we could have bread. She didn't remember until she brought our entrees. We asked for ketchup hot sauce. She didn't remember that either so we had to ask the bus boy. I had ordered onion straws got a hard, undercooked baked potato. When I told her that I didn't order a baked potato, she just kind of looked at me finally said that she'd get me the onion straws. They finally came when we were done eating. We asked for boxes saw her carrying the boxes, but instead of handing them to us, she laid them on the table next to us took the order of the couple sitting behind us. They still add a surcharge if you use a credit card so we opted to pay in cash. The cashier said it wasn't a big deal. Well, since our bill was around $48 for 3 meals (no drinks), we weren't going to pay anything extra. As slow as the server was, she wasn't slow going to our empty table to collect her $10 tip. I told my husband that was too much since the service was so poor. On the way out, my husband said, well we gave it another try, but we will not be back. It's a shame because we used to come here regularly when the nice older woman host told us to sit back, relax have a good dinner. Those were the good old days."
