"Wow! This place is incredible. I discovered it on Google, and as a fan of chicken fried steak, I simply had to pay a visit. Calling it good would be an understatement; it felt like it was made in grandma's kitchen. The food was homemade and absolutely delicious! The potatoes were genuine, and the fried okra was outstanding, especially with a seasoning that took it to the next level. A few things to keep in mind: the location is small, and there was only one waitress on duty. This means you might need to wait for your food or drinks. I felt like we were served quite quickly, but a couple came in and left in less than two minutes because the waitress wasn't there to seat them immediately. They missed out on one of the best homemade meals I’ve ever had."

"The ingredients are always so fresh. I come here just for the garden salad alone because of the fresh mozzarella they add and their balsamic vinaigrette is perfect! Pizzas are very good. We got the chicken bacon Alfred and added broccoli, mushrooms and tomatoes to it. Kinda pricey to add to a specialty pizza (3.29 per ingredient) but everything was so delicious it was worth it! I did get charged 2 $1.54 charges for non cash or something which is strange because I paid cash but I didn't really ask about it cause I had a hungry husband at home lol. Finally the icy mug for my beer was a great option and made for a refreshing treat while I waited for my food!"

"I visited this restaurant twice, and both times the food was outstanding. I ordered the blueberry pancakes, which were among the best I've ever had. On my second visit, I came with a group, and everyone loved their meals! The interior is very charming, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. "The food is quite tasty. Everything is served in to-go containers, even for dining in. The ingredients are fresh; however, the dishes are pre-prepared and brought out within a minute of placing the order. The service is quick and friendly. There's a clear Halal Zabihah sign displayed, and they even list the farm where the meat is sourced from outside the restaurant. I’m giving it four stars because I compared the same menu items with another half-Chinese place in Springfield, and I found theirs to be better. Overall, it's still good food."

"Ghetto. It's in the ghetto. My wife was harrassed by some thug. He was hitting on her. My wife is a modest 45 year old woman who knitts. She was knitting in the car and this guy (with his two very large friends who were smoking pot in their ghetto blacked out Mercedez SUV next to my car) was staring at her for several minutes, and as she got into the drivers seat to park somewhere else, the playa started waiving at her. My 12 year old son is in the car as this is happening. The rocket scientists were smoking weed in their car. It took 30 minutes to order and get my food, 2 burgers and two nacho fries. The fries were soggy and literally drenched with the nacho cheese sauce, way too much sauce. My burger was bland. My son really liked his burger. I threw away the fries. Best part was the price, less than $20, can't beat that. The employees are super friendly and I really appreciated them. Don't bring your wife and children here if they're not urban acclimated."

"A large order of biscuits in gravy is under $6 and enough for two people. It's 3 huge split biscuits. Best breakfast here to St Louis Service is prompt- attitudes are awesome and it looks like a little quiet bar with good home cooking. A plus for me is always rye toast. They have country fried steak dinners $10 with all the fixings and blackberry cobbler for $3 as their special today. Best pre-covid pricing since they've re-enslaved Americans under this imperialist Roman-American empire. Long live the king (of breakfast)"

"my fiancée and I visited here on 10 september while we were on vacation. I was excited to taste the food, which thought we would have authentic fresh Mexican food, and it didn't get so challenged. we first ordered the chicken nachos and our chips were as delicate as when they were? ve was heated in the microwave, then we ordered the barbacoa tacos and the enchiladas. they are really good, but our main question was with the enchiladas. we have told our server that they do not taste very pleasant, I could burn froster. the server went and got the owner or the chef, I'm not sure, but I explained that they were not good and we didn't want them, they continued to say how they were? re them best sellers and that they were fresh daily and maybe we? re just didn't get used to the taste. she was really controversial. She finally took her off our bill, but her attitude was disgusting."

"Went with my neice and she was so excited to try this place. I've been going for years. It's been a while since I've been there to sit and dine in. Our waitress was awesome and so kind she is literally worth a bunch more! It's rare these days to actually have a really nice waitress but she was amazing! I am writing this review however because I was so so so thrown off by my order... I got a mushroom Swiss burger. When she gave it to me obviously I said thank you and when she walked away I started preparing to eat it but right away noticed the Swiss cheese was pale orange and no holes. So I let the waitress know I think they added the wrong cheese. She said a lot of people have been saying tha but the Swiss they have is pale orange no holes. She grabbed me a slice of peolperjack and I proceeded to taste a mushroom. It was super fishy tasting and I tried to just take all the mushrooms off but the burger still smelled funky because of the mushrooms. I told her I would like to order something else and I didn't mind still paying I just thought maybe the mushrooms expired or something. I did look up both fishy mushrooms and pale orange Swiss. Both exist. There is in fact pale orange Swiss but Google said it still has holes usually, and there are oyster mushrooms that smell fishy. Again the waitress was wonderful and I really felt bad for not eating the food they gave me I just couldn't. I appreciate them letting me order something else and taking the original order off my tab.. I would have paid I just really was so thrown off by the whole thing. Thy do have good food and I have never had to send anything back before. Maybe they ordered different products by mistake this time?"

"First time there will not be back. We were the only ones there and did took forever. The bill came and I was Overcharged by 6.50 so I questioned it. Waitress was gone over give minutes and brought back the correct total. Handed it to me the on a hand written receipt. I gave my credit card and after it was ran was told total was higher because I paid with card and the price she wrote was a cash price. What??? I asked where it says that and she replies if I gave you a register receipt it would have said that but I had to hand write it. I responded and said you should have told me that then and I would have paid cash. Seems to me they were just trying to make extra money with the hand written bill and wrong amounts!! Will never go back. Update: owner responded. Did not understand my issue. First handwritten check was $6.50 Overcharged. That was corrected and the new bill was$24.and change. Second check was correct but was not informed that if I pay cash it would be less so I was charged a higher price $25. . when I questioned the waitress she responded by saying since it was handwritten, It did not tell me cash would be cheaper only ones printed from the register. I said she should have mentioned that when taking my card and I would have paid cash. No other restaurant I have been two charges two different prices. I understand very well about cc fees but was never informed of the price difference before paying. If I was, I would have paid cash! "After a long day of kayaking, feeling wet, tired, and hungry, we discovered the Pizza Parlor online and decided to give it a try. It was amazing! The traditional thin crust was perfectly crispy, with just the right amount of red sauce. We ordered the deluxe pizza with green olives, and we absolutely loved it! At first, we thought the price of the salads was a bit steep, but when they arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and delicious toppings. Our food came out quickly, and the servers were very friendly. Overall, it was a fantastic place to stop for a meal and unwind. I highly recommend it!"
