"#1, The portions are enormous! Keep this in mind when ordering, as everything on the menu looks so appealing that you might end up ordering more than you can handle. We visited for lunch last week with a large group of eight, and the service was fantastic—everything was correct and timely. One of the standout dishes was the thin-crust pizza. We tried the Canadian bacon with bacon crumbles and a honey maple drizzle, and it was simply delicious! I’m sure any of the pizzas would be excellent. We also sampled the butternut squash ravioli and the fall salad, which included spring greens, butternut squash, apple slices, goat cheese, and an apple cider vinaigrette. It was packed with flavor, so much so that I didn’t even need the dressing. Whenever I'm in Wisconsin, I always have to get an order of cheese curds. These were nice, but I wasn’t a fan of the breading—I'll probably skip them next time. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience; the food was great, and the service was top-notch!"

"I wasn’t going to leave a comment and just take it as a loss but it’s been eating me up. I ordered shrimp egg foo young, tofu and egg rolls through Door Dash. The egg rolls were disgusting and mushy on the inside as if they were frozen then immediately dropped in hot grease. The most upsetting part was that each of my SHRIMP egg foo young patties came with ONLY TWO pieces of shrimp in them. WHAT AM I GONNA DO WITH ONLY TWO PIECES OF SHRIMP? I don’t know if thats how the prepare theirs or they were getting over because I ordered on DD. I have never seen nothing like it before. I would have requested a return from DD had I not been eating with someone else and running behind on time. Do better."

"We had a reservation for PM Friday, We arrived at We were seated by and ordered by After several Your food is about to come up statements, we left at when we heard that again, never having received our food. Our order was a bunless hamburger with sweet potato fries and a breadless Rueben sandwich with green beans. Numerous tables seated after us had received appetizers or food before we left. They were not too busy, as there were many empty tables. The noise level, primarily from the bar, was extreme. It can be a little noisy at busy times, but that was above the norm. The hostess was helpful and nice, as was the waitress, but nice does not cover minutes of waiting with promises of food about to be served. I will say that we frequent this restaurant and enjoy our trips normally, but this one was not pleasant, at all."

"Booked using OpenTable for New Years Eve at 7pm, arrived at 6:45pm with my 3 guest and was told the kitchen was closed and only open for drinks. No prior notice and they acted like it was not a big deal. Trying to get into a decent restaurant on New Years Eve without a reservation, only got luck at the Texas Roadhouse near Kingwood, thanks them for saving the evening. Sent inquiry into OpenTable and waiting on a response since this should not happen for any reason, at least the window for times slots should have been greyed out to initially prevent someone from booking. cheers, hopefully it will be a good year."

"I am completely disappointed in every respect. I ordered the sirloin steak (16 oz. What I received was simply not it or even resembled that type of dish. After the first bite, I could only conclude that it was a completely unseasoned conglomerate of fat and tendons, unfit for consumption. This thing just grew in my mouth, causing me to vomit. After spitting the stuff into a tissue, I asked for the bill. It turned out that a tip is added obligatorily in the amount of 17% of the order amount and the tip item appears again during payment. I feel cheated, robbed and I feel terrible resentment towards myself for not inviting the cook to the table to consume his creation. I also feel sorry for the cow that lost its life to end so tragically."

"From the outside I thought it was going to be a great experience. I went with my 5 year old grandson. Took 23 minutes for the green bean appetizer and 42 minutes for a flat bread pizza. It felt like the waitress was ignoring us. Never asked if we wanted drink refills or nothing. And back one time to ask if things were on. I had to step up to the bar to get my bill. And the food was average at best. Won’t be returning."

"Quality not what it used to be. A year ago or so I wrote a reviewing liking this location. We got our usual to go this time (much like other times) and when my husband got home I was incredibly dissapointed. He said they were busy and looked disarrayed but it doesn't give them an excuse for giving us ****. The bartender ignored my husband when he tried to tell them he was there to pick up and saw the order come out and only after our order was sitting there for a while did he finally ask what he was there for. Now that's whatever as long as this pregnant lady gets her food. I eagerly open the box and what do I find? A few sweet potato fries, the avocado smothered on the burger soaking the bun, and no pickle. The bun was falling apart as soon as I tried to pick it up so I ate it with a fork and knife. Even the sauce cup barely had any sauce but enough I guess for the meager portion of fries I got! This makes me sad as we're regulars. That will no longer be true.<br/ <br/ <br/ 01 Aug, 2014 <br/ <br/ West coast burger sweet potato fries. I have gotten the west coast burger and sweet potato fries every single time I've gone there and my boyfriend has now copied my choice. I'm sure the other burgers are good too but if I have a craving for Huey's, that's what I get. Their onion rings are also good and huge but they are the type that the onion slips straight out of the breading. The lemon box cake thing made me very happy. If you want to go to any Huey's, the midtown location is the one to go to! Don't go to the downtown site. They were really rude both times we stopped by to get a to go order when we were on our bikes."

"The food quality at this restaurant has significantly declined. I dined here in the past and received excellent service and food. However, during my most recent visit, the waitress seemed distracted and was being reprimanded by someone. She didn't even make eye contact when taking my order. The fries I received were cold and seemed to have been cooked hours ago. When I requested fresh fries, I witnessed a staff member simply reheating the same ones in the fryer. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was run down, and the employees appeared unhappy. Coupled with the subpar quality of the mostly frozen food, I have decided to dine elsewhere."

"The store was about 60% busy. There seemed to be plenty of employees running around; but the service was disorganized and essentially bad. For example, you order a beer and you see the server and the bartender joking around and talking while 10 minutes goes by, then you see your beer sitting on bar.... then once the joking around, talking, BS'ing of the servers are done, the beer is brought to you. Water cups empty for a long time, you have to flag them down for anything you need. Zero proactive service. In short, apathetic employees that could care less. Either untrained or poorly trained. The food is decent; but I'll pass as they don't appear to care they are in the service industry."

"We had a truly disappointing experience at this restaurant. The hamburger was so tough that we couldn’t even eat it. There was blood on the plate from the chicken. We sent it back and opted for the country fried steak, but it didn't meet our expectations either. We also tried a meatloaf sandwich as a replacement for the hamburger, and it was equally unsatisfactory. Our family has decided that we will never return. We paid the $50 bill and left feeling very unhappy."

"The server was really nice very helpful checking back for drink refills often enough that we didn’t run out but not too often so as to bug us! The food was FANTASTIC!!!! We had the large Mediterranean pizza with cracker crust then beignets for dessert. Perfect size for sharing with our group of three. We were able to sit out on the patio it was beautiful with the sun shining and a cool fall breeze blowing. If you get a chance come to Sugar River Pizza you won’t be disappointed!!!"

"When we walked in, the girl that took our order was sitting in a booth on her phone. She got up and went behind the counter and asked if we wanted food or ice cream. We said, potentially both! We order a chili cheese burger, buffalo wings, and a BLT. She sat my husband's fountain drink cup upside down with the open side on the counter. She was very annoyed because I asked for another one. There were no clean tables in the place. I had to use hand sanitizer and napkins to clean my booth, the table, and chair my husband was sitting in. There was another chair that had ice cream still wet in it. The whole restaurant was very dirty. The chili on the burger looked like it was 3 days old. The bacon on my BLT was microwaved. The tomato was not ripe. He did say the wings were good. I didn't take any pictures because I didn't want to touch my phone after I wiped the table off. I do not recommend going there. The entire staff were all sitting down in booths when we left. I would walk to the next spot over and not waste my money."

"I have always been turned off by the idea of coming here, because of the location only. However tonight I found myself tired of the same old same old and wanted to try literally anything different and not spend an arm and a leg. Still turned off by the idea I stepped inside and was firstly wowed!! Was sat down and got drinks in a timely manner. Katie was awesome! She didn’t bother me much and got everything right. The menu had lots of variety. I ordered 2 appetizers and 2 meals and was charged a fair amount. I received lots of good food and service. I truly regret judging this book by its cover. I am very satisfied!! 10/10 recommend!!"

"A nice example of a small family run Portuguese restaurant in the New Bedford area. The food is very good and can be a good value, depending on the dish. Service is quirky. Not the best place to go if you are planning to stay with your friends to chat after finishing the meal. One gets the unsubtle hint that it's time to pay up and get going unless you plan to order more. Yet, once the check arrives, it's hard to get someone to look at your table to pick up the payment. This is not unusual for places of this type. A local quirk? Overall I still like the place and recommend it for anyone who wants a good meal and nice family atmosphere. A great bet for people visiting the area, looking for an authentic taste of the area's Portuguese cuisine. Hard to get much more authentic than this, quirks and all."

"On a positive note, I appreciated the elevator that brought us to the second-floor grill, although we had a hard time finding it because there were no signs to guide us in the dimly lit area. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return. "Went to Mashies for the Mothers Day Buffet. I have to say, it was one of the BEST Buffets I have ever been to in the Peoria Area. The food line was well maintained with a lot of fresh hot items, both breakfast entrees and lunch/dinner entrees. The Staff did an excellent job of keeping our drinks full and used plates cleared. Thanks Mashies Guys and Gals for a wonderful Mothers Day Meal!!"
