"The taste is very good but the service is WORST( understatement) and the quantity is average. I went on a dosa night. They force you to eat idli, upma, wada and pongal along with the first dosa (plain dosa only) which I didn't want to eat as I came for dosa night and didn't want to waste as it is food!! And you dont have the option to change or modify the items. This is their trap to fill your stomach after the first serving itself. Then we ordered 2 dosas which came after 20 mins!!! Then we ordered 3 dosas next. The server brought only the dosas without the chutney! I waited for the chutney to arrive which never arrived even after asking multiple times. I waited for 15 20 mins!! Finally, as I was finishing my dosas (WITHOUT THE CHUTNEY), the server brought it and when I told him that I have already finished eating my dosa. He asked me to order another dosa to eat with this chutney which obviously i didn't want to!!When i asked for the check, they charged us 15 usd per person which was not accurate from what they said a week ago. When i told the server that their price was 12.99 usd ,he told that they changed it 2 months ago. Which obviously was not correct as they told me that it is 12.99 usd a week ago!!Next, they have halal sign on the front door. I called them and asked if they have a certificate for halal meat, they said yes. After reaching the restaurant, when i asked about it they did not have it . The receptionist told me that they have it inside and will get it and show it to me which never happened. So, basically I am not sure if they really have it. Why would a restaurant keep their halal certificate inside? They also have items on the menu they dont serve yet so check with them before going there. It doesn't end here!! I also tried ordering online. They close at 1 AM in the night and ran out of mutton biryani at 8 PM!! And replaced it with bone in chicken biryaani without informing/asking me. When I called them to change it to boneless chicken biryaani they said ran ran out of that as well. Then I asked them to change it to fried rice, then they said that the chef is not available. Really? At 8 PM?? When they close at 1 AM!! I mean come on!! When the chicken biryani arrived, the chicken quality was very bad. The meat was all pink on the inside. Looked like the chicken was not fresh at all!!!I lost trust in them and I am not going to return to this restaurant ever again!!!Now, I understood why their rating is so bad online!! The service!! I would have given negative rating if possible!!"

"Chai Taco is located inside the gas station on the corner of Kuykendahl Gosling near 2920--Windrose area. It's an appealing concept that fell a little short on expectations but...it's a fairly new place with room to grow. I first noticed it from the banner hanging outside. I tried go yelp it lo no photos so here is my contribution for anyone curious about an indian-mexican mash up. First: the price is on par with a typical gas station eatery $2-5 meals 2nd: for a fusion based concept...not bad, also not great. Definitely recommend sticking to the actual fusion faves: tika or butter chicken tacos. I personally enjoy tika masala so that's what I ordered. I also got a fajita beef quesadilla curious as to what the flavor profile would be. Unfortunately...it was an extremely basic quesadilla with minimal seasoning too much cheese. A bit of chaluloa fixed it nicely and it was warm toasty but waaaay too bland. As for the tika taco...it had decent flavor and a nice cilantro cream sauce to top it off however much like the quesadilla which is meant to have cheese, this too had an overly generous portion if shredded cheese. I am a huge fan of many area taco trucks can vouch that this would hands down have tasted better with just literally some kind of vegetable..a bit of cilantro lime. The taste had that curry zing which for anyone who's never tried it before it was a pleasant surprise (shared with my coworkers to get their feedback). I think personally because I enjoy the wet soppiness of actual curry that was my expectation of what might be in this taco it fell short for me, that isn't to say it was bad...just not what I expected. Finally the samosa was pretty large coming in at the $1.45 price tag. It had a bit too much potato and tumeric/fennel seasoning was a bit overwhelming, but again for someone new to Indian cuisine it was tasty enough. Overall a decent place to trial something unique. Service was quick friendly. And anyone who is weary of gas station food this place is exceptionally clean--so be bold! Try it!Room for growth or personal suggestions:1. Offer more sides or vegetable based options being that this us an Indian-Mexican fusion the only side options were samosa ...fries?2. Punch up the flavor on your beef products. I got the quesadilla for myself the beef taco went to a co-worker the assessment was the same: bland. Whether you go Mexican or Indian with the profile it needs more flavor guys3. Less cheese! Cheese is a tex-mex thing. This is such a cool concept that you could do SO much with. I like Tarkas fast-casual indian concept. They have pretty decent grilled veggies on the side. THAT would complement your tacos better than cheese."
