"After reading a positive review in the Sacramento Bee, we decided to give this restaurant a try. We arrived for dinner at 6:45, with the restaurant closing at 9:00. Unfortunately, they had run out of the batter for making banh xeo and water fern cakes. Our server was friendly and personable, but another employee seemed eager to leave by 8:00. This employee was cleaning a table behind us and using a strong-smelling cleaner, which detracted from our dining experience. The service was quick and efficient, but I did feel slightly rushed. As we prepared to leave, the employee was sitting in the dining area on their phone, giving me the impression that they wanted us to hurry up. Despite these hiccups, I am willing to give the restaurant another chance as the food was decent, and I hope to be able to try the banh xeo next time."
