"I was looking for a healthy option and stumbled upon Fire Island Grill. Walking in, I noticed a big menu on the wall, which gives you options on how to build your order. You then walk up to the counter and place your order, similarly to chipotle. To be honest, the ordering process was a little confusing, but the staff was very helpful and friendly.I ordered a bowl with half island, rice and veggies, steak and chicken, and jerk sauce. I was not quite sure what to expect, but I was actually blown away by the flavors. The meat was cooked perfectly, and the blend of fresh veggies with the rice was amazing. The food definitely fit the Hawaiian type vibes within the restaurant. The only snag in my whole visit was the time that it took to actually pay for my food. There was only one person in front of me, but the cashier took quite a while to help her pay and by by the time I went to pay there were about seven other people behind me. Nonetheless, it was a cool spot with great food, so I will definitely be visiting again."
