"It was a great experience! Loved our very nice and professional server and our chef was great the food was DELICIOUS!! We had a wonderful time all made possible by everyone we encountered from reservation making to arrival at the restaurant all the way through the evening. We had a perfect time! They helped make my daughter’s birthday dinner a great success!! Not bad thing to say about any of it!! We’ve celebrated every birthday for my daughter at Benihanas for quite a number of years, it’s her traditional birthday wish and her favorite place to go for any celebration, so we know Benihana and this location with this particular Chef is one of our favorites. He is excellent! Our servers are sometimes hit or miss but our server last night was awesome!! Great job to the management for having such exceptional staff"

"I go into Sushi Maki on Sunset once or twice a week. I love everyone and everything about this place. Julia and Cecile have been taking such great care of me with dine in or takeout. I love their bento boxes the chicken Teriyaki is one of my favorites . Julia just got me hooked on the Whole Foods Roll… soooo good. Cecile is amazing she is the cutest person ever. The sushi chef’s are great , the food is always excellent. I have always had the best experience when ever I go there. The vibe is always chill and cozy. I love you guys! Thanks for taking such great care of me. Btw…. It’s not just me, I see how they take care of everybody!! Great service!"

"For being the OG of hibachi I expected so much more. I had the hibachi chicken which was served with 3 small shrimp that were cut in pieces, soup and salad, one piece of zucchini and some onions. Chicken was fine, not great. Husband had the Emperor’s Feast and the filet portion was flavorful but over cooked. His came as a 6 course meal including ice cream but our server argued with us that it was not included and tried to charge us another $5 for a small scoop. Finally we had her pull out the menu and showed her it was included and her response was ok I won’t charge you. The decor is very minimal and can certainly use to be updated. Martini was decent but small for the price. Final review glad I went there once but not likely to return."

The management team was also very welcoming, and we could sense the positive influence of the new leadership. "We encountered significant delays during our visit to the restaurant. With only three chefs on duty, we were left waiting for over 40 minutes before anyone informed us about our table situation. We were told that our food would be ready in 10 minutes, but after waiting another 30 minutes, most of us ended up leaving. To make matters worse, the table next to us, which had a reservation for 1 PM, didn't start receiving their food until 3 PM. A heads-up about the delays would have been appreciated so we wouldn’t have had to spend an hour and 20 minutes sitting there without any updates."

"I always enjoy dining at this Dearborn location. It's close to my home and the service and food taste better than others locations I've eaten at. My recent experience for my birthday on March 24th was the best ever. I've been dinning there for more than 35 years and never had the food tasted as it did prepared by KYLE last week. I will not return to this restaurant ever! the service was anemic. we saw false teller delivered to tables, service to a diner in a party made at a time, a customer ordered a cup tee three times before it came, and finally we had to go before our ice was served because we were there over an hour. in the meantime the customers left because they sat for 30 minutes without getting any service. the food was medicore. my teller arrived cold, and my es room partner told me you were dry/cooked. the suppe was okay, but really fried tweeping in the mistsuppe won't make for this bad experience. "When people choose Benihana it's generally for a fun dinner meal to celebrate a special occasion. I've been frequenting this particular location a couple times a year for the last decade plus. Over that time the quality and cleanliness has definitely declined. This was my first experience back in well over a year due to the pandemic and I will no longer book this restaurant. The quality of the food, the cleanliness of the restaurant, the upkeep of the general building and the quality of the waitstaff doesn't align with the prices. Our service was tainted further by being paired with another guest group that didn't understand how a Hibachi restaurant worked (constant issues that distracted from our meal and ruined the food we got due to their requests) and waitstaff who's only goal seemed to be getting you out of the restaurant. Tables were sticky and unkept. The Habachi grill looked in disrepair. The hood vent looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a year. The chef attire was dirty. The bathrooms were disgusting. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this Benihana location in Golden Valley any longer."

"We were there last night celebrating my husband birthday. It was our first time ever at Benihana’s, we were always skeptical of going because people always hyped it up and we’ve been to several other hibachi restaurants and have great food and atmosphere. The food was good but our noodles were too salty. The food portions compared to other hibachi restaurants were slim pickings. The rice bowls weren’t full to the top, we had to pay extra for a side of fried noodles and extra for fried rice. Like I said Ive been to several hibachi restaurants all over the world and every last one of them gives you fried rice and noodles and if you want extra then you pay for more. I was highly disappointed with the veggie combo that they give you with the hibachi meals. The veggie combo consisted of zucchini and onions, I don’t eat onions so all I had was zucchini and I paid extra for mushrooms so that I can have some other options. My husband ordered his food and he’s very particular and precise when he orders and he orders enough so that he can eat there and take food home. The waiter was irritated and and stopped taking my husband order and told him he ordered too much food. We had to wait til the chef came out to cook the food to tell him what more we wanted to add. And the table had to ask for the chef to add garlic butter and soy sauce while he was cooking. Overall we had a good time but we were disappointed and decided that we gave it a shot but won’t be back"
