"There's nothing much to dislike about this place, just not much to like either. There are a few things that are fun the wine angels are a neat gimmick, and the staff (especially the sommelier) are great. It's just that the food, which after all is what you're there for, is uninspired and not brilliantly executed. Don't get me wrong, each plate comes out looking picture perfect, I'm sure it's great for Instagram, but it's very much style over substance. At this price point, there's no excuse for boring, bland dishes like the heirloom tomato with whipped burrata I struggled to taste much of anything in this dish, and I don't understand why you'd take a beautiful Burrata a cheese famous for its contrasting textures, and decide that the best way to serve it is whipped? Both the champagne jelly in the amuse and the panna cotta desert suffered from having so much gelatine added that they were set solid no wobble whatsoever. The beef was well cooked but underseasoned and a single pepper is not exactly a generous accompaniment. This was a theme throughout I'm fine with small portions if there are lots of dishes, but a few bites per plate across an already short tasting menu leaves you unsatisfied. Having said all the above, I ate everything placed in front of me, and didn't dislike anything in particular, I just feel like if you're charging $289 per person for a tasting menu including wine, it needs to be a better standard than this."
