"It is unfair to only give this restaurant 5 stars....this is the only place in Rockland that deserves a 60-minute wait. You will not find food of this quality, service, and price anywhere else unless you board a plane and fly internationally. From freshly made Sangria daily (red and white) to the freshest seafood, meat, and vegetables, this restaurant is truly exceptional. I am ashamed to admit that I only went for breakfast for over 10 years and never tried lunch or dinner until tonight. Shame on me! We are already planning to return tomorrow evening. Our meal tonight included delicious dishes such as black bean soup, Little Neck Clams in a green sauce, filleted Branzini, and the ultimate dish - crispy duck. I am almost 50 years old and I can confidently say that this is the best crispy duck I have ever had in my life. I urge you to visit this restaurant not only to support the talented chefs but also for your own enjoyment. Follow Melvin's recommendations and trust his suggestions, as he is truly a wizard in the kitchen at Estrellas. Melvin greeted us with a smile and provided excellent service throughout our meal. "I haven 't been here in several years, yet after visiting the Pink Dot Express down the way, I made a trip over to their original since they didn 't have what I was looking for. But this place sure did, and then some. Not only did I find my awful Alka-Seltzer original chalky tablets, they had some random foreign candy as well. I 'm sure they had some other awesome stuff but I didn 't feel like sticking around. They didn 't have any Sudafed type of stuff though, which is another thing I was searching for. No minimum on card purchases either, so this was great. Machine does ask if you want to leave a tip, so you can bypass this if you want. Kid working was competent, and got the job done. Parking lot is shared with a Boot store, but I think they 're all closed down so there was plenty of parking when I went. I 'd definitely stop in again; you never know what you might need, and for the most part, Pink Dot will have it.Actually went back for the second time within the week, and I swear the guy working was AI or something, he just looked too 'on ', and even the way he spoke was strangely robotic. But that 's okay, he rung me up properly and did his part."

"I’m in town for work and stopped by here for lunch with my colleague. We were sat immediately and brought chips and salsa, which by the way was some of the best I’ve had in years.Waiter was quick with drinks and taking order. Food came pretty fast and was pretty tasty. You could tell this was a favorite spot for locals.We both got the chicken and beef combo fajita’s. Tasty and we left full and satisfied. Nice ambience in the place, parking was a little weird, but didn’t detract from the experience.I would visit Mena’s again, great meal, I hope you enjoy!"

"A coworker recommended Ni Nidito, and i am glad we stopped by . I knew we were in for a treat as there was a waiting list for lunch , and i was right . Hands down the best Mexican food I've had to date. Fresh very flavorful , and absolutely delicious. The margarita was fantastic. Wife and i split a cheese crisp with green chiles and the presidential plate and took home left overs due to the generous portions. The guacamole was spot on.Jerry was delightfully pleasant as he checked on us often to make sure we had what we needed . Please ignore the reviews from the me monsters . A good restaurant has a wait . Fresh food takes tome to prepare. If you are expecting fast food , then find a place with a dive thru .We will be back !!!!!! Even with a 2 hr commute from Phoenix its worth it !!"

"This restaurant was a delightful surprise! After being on a road trip for a few days, it was such a relief to enjoy a meal that wasn't fast food. I chose the create-your-own combo, and at every Mexican restaurant I've visited, I always have to order the chile rellenos and an enchilada. Their chile relleno has easily made it into my top three all-time favorites! It was fantastic. They topped my enchiladas and relleno with their homemade red chile, which was exceptional. Both their red and green chiles were outstanding. The homemade chips and salsa were also quite impressive. While they don’t have a traditional sit-down bar, you can still enjoy beer, wine, and margaritas. I indulged in two delicious margaritas! I really wish I lived here so I could come back and explore more of the menu. This place is a fantastic stop off the I-10!"

"Goyitas used to be fabulous prior to the pandemic. But recently it has changed in so many ways. Their prices have increased at a much higher rate than any other restaurant we have visited. The food quality always varies from okay to not good at all. Also, the food portions have decreased by at least 30%. Our takeout food is often too cold to eat. We are only 5 minutes away. They now charge a 3.5% surcharge to use your credit or debit card. Our orders are usually over $100. I don't care to carry that much cash. There are just too many other Mexican food restaurants in town that are more consistent in food quality at a better price. I'm sorry to say that my family is not planning on going to Goyitas anymore. That's too bad. They once were so good."

"After Driving all the way from Las Vegas, Nevada just to try this place out in my food review career. I can certainly say that this place was definitely decent. It was affordable the food was average but still flavor and enjoyable. The Atmosphere truly gives a Mexican Vibe, while it is a bit tight n not so many tables the environment was culture on! The Service was friendly but a bit slow.. overall my experience was fair but worth it. Will I come back.. let's just say I'll add it to my bucketlist. Great place, flan for dessert was amazing. I will return someday but not for the foreseeable future. I do recommend you to stop by if ur staying or passing by though!"

"Not only excellent food, but service went above beyond. While traveling, restaurant agreed to cook our food have us come in and eat just before their closing time. Who does that? Manager Joanna her staff, including Jordan, do! Kitchen is magic-best pork chop, supreme mashed potatoes, ribeye cooked to perfectioneven the chips salsa were stellar. "A friend told us on the next trip through Van Horn make sure to make a stop at Chuy’s. We were passing through and decided to check it out and have a bite. It looks a little “rough” on the outside and you can tell it’s been here since 1959. Walls painted with all kinds of pictures mainly religious. One area is devoted to the John Madden Hall of Fame pictures, special table, and autographs. Very cool ! We ordered the #2 and split it Gordita, taco enchilada with rice and beans. Not bad we’re from southern AZ where the Mexican food is top notch this was all good ! No alcohol soft drinks and tea only. We were the only ones there, but others came in a little later thought we were running late, guess not they must each later here. All in all I’d probably give Chuy’s a 3 for this visit."

"Fantastic small business family owned Mexican restaurant are the place to grab authentic food. I ordered the brisket chimichanga, I want to try all the protein selection they have from chicken to beef fajita and ground beef if that’s your jam! I’m sure every thing else on the menu lives up to the hype. The only grape I have is that it wasn’t piping hot. It was warm/cold, still tasted great. Atmosphere was nice, service was A1. "I never review any restaurants I go to, if I like it I go back and if I don’t I just complain about it to my family and suggest they never go there But... Taqueria Los Gavanes NEVER disappoints and that is the reason why today I am giving them a review. I’ve had many things on the menu and I’ve loved everything I’ve ever got there! I recommend you try the California burrito, they are huge! It has rice, beans, onions, cilantro, lime and your choice of meat I usually get carne asada. Also the nachos are the bomb!! "So, first time here. Seems very “local neighborhood” style. Service to start was great. I ordered the Italian Margarita, great, exactly what I expected. Then, queso. To me; no. I didn’t enjoy. It was too runny and the flavor was lacking. I tried though as I enjoyed my marg. Asked to move inside, was accommodated perfectly. I wanted to keep my waiter, he eventually got busy in his own section which I saw and still was attentive as needed. Overheard a table ask about flights, those recalled 1999. It’s secret but not. Got that; loved it. It’s only frozen, still loved it. Got the shrimp quesadillas to go and even after I got home they were so delicious!! Will come back. "Wow, I am just blown away by the customer service at Ernesto?s!!! This was the first time I have been here. I came here with my daughter, and boy I tell ya. It?s been a week from you know where! We didn?t want to go to somewhere super crowded and franchised, we wanted to have a nice hot meal and to be able to sit and relax and have a nice margarita to just unwind from the hectic work week. I suggested here, because I?ve seen it so many times before and have been meaning to try it for so long. We get there and there is a 15-20 min wait?no big deal. It?s a Friday night, it?s to be expected. We are seated and served our chips and salsa, our drink orders are taken and whoa?they are much larger than anticipated! Then we get free queso because we had to wait awhile?come to find out they are short staffed?they still did a phenomenal job serving us. They took our food order and I?m not exaggerating it was literally less than 5 mins and we had our food on the table! I told our waitress Giselle, DUDE are you serious??? I know she had a really bad day because Heather never meets a stranger?tip your waitstaff well because they are working hard folks!!!! And be kind to them also! "Was in the area and stopped by to grab a bite. Was there around 4:30pm and it was already busy. Not sure if they take reservations but if they do, I would recommend it. Sat in the bar area, which had a few tables left. It did take a few minutes to see our server but she was very friendly and accommodating the entire time. We got the complimentary chips and 3 different salsa. The tomatillo one was really good! Ordered some enchiladas, quesadilla and soup. Even though the restaurant was packed, everything came in a good amount of time."
