"The food didn't meet the expectations we had for a nice restaurant like Patio 44. It felt quite ordinary. I ordered the salmon with BBQ glaze and mashed potatoes, but when my dish arrived, the potatoes were ice cold, served in a large portion underneath a small hot piece of salmon, all in a bowl. This was particularly disappointing for an upscale establishment. The fries that accompanied the dish were warm but topped with beef and cheese that had clearly been under the warming light for too long. The gumbo was excessively spicy, and my husband's jambalaya pasta contained oversized chunks of bell pepper, with each piece cut to a different size. We were really hoping for a flawless meal, but unfortunately, it fell short of our expectations. There are many other places we could have chosen that would have provided a much better dining experience."
