"I've been going to Celia's since I was a young child. I grew up in San Mateo and we used to go the one there once a week as a family. Growing up, my favorite thing was tacos with rice and beans, along with a Shirley Temple. My mom used to order the Chile Relleno and my dad, the number 8 (an avocado tostada with rice and beans). It's amazing how some memories stay with us. Since we were regulars, we seemed to always good service (or that's how I remember it). I don't have one super close to me anymore because I'm not in San Mateo, however, if I'm meeting someone for lunch or dinner that lives on the peninsula I will always suggest meeting at Celias in either Palo Alto or Menlo Park. The Menlo Park seems to be a busier so because of the location and laid back atmosphere of the Palo Alto restaurant, that is usually where I go. I went recently and decided I needed to write a review. While it seems like such a small thing, Celia's refried beans are what I grew up on and is my standard that I look for in all other Mexican places. The only place that has come close (but no longer around) was El Burro in Campbell. I tend to order the same thing every time but will sometimes switch it up depending on my mood. Their espresso burrito is such a nice blend of many flavors that it's one of my favorites, along with the #8 that I remember my dad ordering(while this is simple, the flavors are really enjoyable) and then there is of course the margarita! They do have pitchers as well. I even had a baby shower for my friend a few years ago in their upstairs room. They do a buffet style and charge per person; its a nice place to have a small to medium get together. I will say their parking is not the best, but because they aren't that busy normally, the parking lot is usually open. I'm not sure why I didn't take a photo of anything this last time, but I will next time and add it to this review"
