"Before I delve into the details, I’d like to mention the service. The two bartenders who also served were outstanding. They were friendly, efficient, attentive, and readily answered all my questions. Now, let’s talk about the beer! As a craft beer enthusiast, I was eager to try several offerings. I began with their award-winning Old Grind Porter, then sampled the seasonal Bitter Clinger Scotch Ale, followed by the XX IPA and wrapped up with the seasonal Oatmeal Stout. The clear highlights for me were the XX IPA, which had an assertive hop-forward flavor, and the Oatmeal Stout, which was satisfyingly rich. I found the Bitter Clinger Scotch Ale to be a bit lacking in character; I prefer a bolder taste. For my meal, I chose the special of the night: an Open Faced Chili Burger. It paired nicely with my side of Green Salad, which complemented the burger well. A pleasant surprise was the addition of Bleu cheese bites in the dressing. However, my only disappointment—and the reason I rated the experience 4 stars instead of 5—was the meat patty in my burger. It was quite dense and seemed overcooked, which affected its texture. I would have preferred if they offered the burger cooked to temperature, as many restaurants do. The chili on top of the burger was delicious, and being a fan of spicy food, I requested two types of hot sauce, which were brought to me immediately and enhanced the flavors nicely. Overall, I had a delightful experience with excellent service and friendly patrons, and I look forward to returning in the future."
