"On Friday night at 7. you wait about 7 minutes to sit at a table. The place was about 7/8 full, I guess. They seemed a little shorthanded. They took our drink order pretty fast. Our drinks arrived within 5 minutes. She ordered us shortly after. We've probably waited a little more than 10 minutes until our food comes out. The waitress was not very friendly and had no personality. We were there probably 45 minutes. She might have checked us three times. She just didn't seem good. Maybe a bad night, I'm not sure. It was busy so she was just tired. I ordered the Philly cheese steak with onion rings. It was pretty good. They stacked my onion rings on my Philly. Don't complain. The plate was not very large, but the onion rings were a decent size. Eating was good, no complaints. My sister had the chicken Alfredo and complained that it tasted like cream of mushroom soup that comes in a can. She was the only one of us (party of five) who had any problem with the taste of food. The restaurant was lit. We had to sit in the back. We had to go through the door to the kitchen to go to the restroom and go. I was almost hit by the door at my out because the staff came out. So be aware when you go through this area. There's not really much protection. After we left, I realized I left my phone. We called it and no answer. A waitress called us back and said the phone stayed at the restaurant. She met me outside the restaurant and was very nice. I thanked her and we went. She seemed to be in a much better mood than our waitress."

"I 'm pretty adamant when it comes to customer service. The host was nice and friendly. She sat us down and then a server came out. She did not greet nor smile. We let her know we were new to the place and she at least gave us some time to look over the menu. I just feel the first impression is absolutely the best way thing to do when being a server is to smile and say hello. A very simple gesture goes a long way, just as an unwelcoming gesture can really have an effect on our experience as diners. I believe her name is Ashlie, which was on the receipt. I still gave her positive responses to her service since I am no Karen. I figured maybe she just needed some happy customers. She did well checking up on us and taking plates off the table. I never leave a bad tip so I still tip her good. I think a little personality adjustment would make it better for her as a server in this industry. Food experience: amazing! There were so great options for kids and they all look delicious. Not your typical, bread and hot dogs. We got our baby fried catfish meal and it came out perfect. Good seasoning and she liked it. Next, we ordered mozzarella logs. Those were great! It has a bite of overcooked on high heat oil but was still great. The marinara sauce was on par. The drinks were good! Stout and as it should for the high prices on them. I ordered Ribye Poboy. Delicious and I didn 't find anything wrong with it. Crawfish etouffee was okay, I wouldn 't order it again. I 'm picky when it comes to cajun food but as a sports bar, it 's still alright. It just has more of a tomato sauce taste. I 'm not sure how they make their roux but I would 've loved it with more garlic, grilled bell peppers, and onion tastes to it. The tomato flavor is overpowering. I don 't know if that 's what they use it on there as one of their ingredients but it tastes like that. Fried chips and queso are good. Will I come back again? Likely. The menu has great options and still has many items that I want to try out. I know it 's not the typical cajun restaurant I expected but they 're still good. It 's good to have a different palette for what another establishment offers."

"I went to the Ubar with my friends to celebrate my bestie's birthday, Friday night. It was an impromptu decision while eating dinner earlier that night in College Park. My friend called the Ubar first to confirm if there was a cover fee and the person that answered the phone said no. We arrived around 10:30 PM and there was no parking left in their section of the shared parking lot, so we parked in the section of the parking lot that is closer to Regions Bank and T Mobile. Security was present in the parking lot and inside and it made things feel safe. There were no boots on anyone's cars once we left the bar either! We were checked by security and there was no cover fee. I visited the location years ago before the pandemic and remember being charged $20 after 10:30 PM. I was happy to not be charged this time, especially after our experience. Once inside, we struggled with finding a place to stand. It was crowded. My friend put our name on the waiting list for a table (party of 6), because we wanted to order drinks (and the bday girl wanted a hookah) and stood by the bar initially. The music was your typical rap, r&b, occasional throwback, with a hint of soca here and there with music videos playing on the TV screens and commentary from the djay as women rode the mechanical bull. We ordered drinks at the bar. Their drinks are on the pricier side now, but I guess that's understandable for the area and with the free entry now. Drinks ranged from $16 $19 and the Hennessey shots were $11. My Hulk (Hennessey and hypnotic) was $16 before gratuity and it was strong, not necessarily good, but not nasty! My friends' Patron margarita was $19, Hennessey and pineapple was $19, and crown and coke was $17. There seemed to be no one monitoring the empty tables because I counted at least six that were empty with old food, drinks, or hookah sitting on them. For that reason, I recommend arriving early to grab a table, making a reservation in advance AND not wearing heels! This environment is casual, even if you are celebrating. Half of my friends were uncomfortable because they came with heels on and we were never seated by the staff. We even followed up after over an hour of waiting and were told that were working through the list. There were three waitlist sheets and they never got to our sheet, while we were there. We ended up seating ourselves near the exit at a table towards the patio and sharing two chairs. The bday girl bought her hookah and brought it over herself from the bar for $35. We danced and had our mini turn up, making the most of it and ended up leaving before 1 AM. Overall, the experience was okay. I would return again but arrive a little earlier and reserve a table in advance if I wanted to sit with my group. My advice to the staff is to do better with monitoring the tables because I am sure that their wait staff is missing out on potential food and drink orders and tips. As many have said, the staff could be more timely and attentive."
